Thoroughly immersing from start to finish. Having the hair swish tied to mouse movement is such a great gamefeel interaction, and it's incredible how after a moment you really acclimate to navigating with Sera's echolocation. Really like how much atmosphere is in this game, gradually pitching from pleasant adventure to an unknown terror.

The use of different colours for things makes reading the echolocation feedback easy and intuitive, which made the more tense sections really fun as you're trying to get away from danger while also trying to figure out where to go. Genuine relief when I finished, that was a perfectly executed Squeeze and Release. Sakurai would be proud!

Glad somebody else enjoyed the mouse movement! I thought it felt really cool, but a lot of testers just ended up using the spacebar :p

I found the visual effects and the sounds of the echolocation very soothing. (You know, except when I'm being chased by an invisible beast.) It was a fun and unique way of exploring and I was pleasantly surprised to find I didn't get lost as much as I expected to.

That's good to hear! We did extensive playtesting to try to make sure people wouldn't get too lost.

Such an interesting use of Seraphina’s power. The fact that most of the game takes place with such an absence of traditional visuals works so well. Really heightens the run-ins with the beast and makes them feel so genuinely threatening. I’m glad you get a glimpse of it at the end too! Really great game concept.

I was really looking forward to your entry this year and you didn't disappoint! Very unique gameplay and really tense atmosphere! It was excellent!

Super cool premise executed incredibly well.  Its very impressive how natural understanding your space become the more time you have with the powers.  And the use of sound is useful, impactful, and generally well done

I played this in a pitch black room at night and it just made everything feel that much more immersive. I really dig this game's mechanic and how you presented it visually. The unseen beast lurking on the other side of the wall was such an inspired choice. Also, the fact that Seraphina shakes her head when you use her power is a nice detail. Great work as usual!

Developer

Thanks! That's really the best way to play a game like this.

Loved the echolocation mechanic! Terrifying to be in the dark hearing the creature roaming around. I hope DSD enjoyed those donuts I collected.

Very cool usage of the echolocation mechanic. I like the tense atmosphere, and horror vibes too.

Really enjoyed this one. Unique take on the echolocation, and the darkness as well as the sounds made for a cool vibe. Genuinely got spooked towards the beginning, too. Very nice work.

Due to the nature of the game clear times may vary wildly. If you get stuck or don't understand what something is feel free to ask!
