  • Your idea for the theme was good and funny. I seemed to have some issues in fullscreen mode in Brave browser, maybe check that out? But apart from that it's good puzzle game! Thanks and keep making games!

Tell us about your game!
Story:
- You walk into town and suddenly a giant vine bursts out of the center of the town square/fountain. An NPC nearby tells you they've called in the Tree Elimination Crew (T.E.C.) and they'll arrive soon so everything should be fine so long as it doesn't spread.
- Right on queue it starts spreading to nearby houses. NPC says Oh no... IT'S SPREADING!™ and asks you to help slow it down until the TEC arrives.
- The nearby houses are staggered so that the one closest to the fountain will be hit first, so that's the first level.
- You run over and interact with it to start the first level, all you have are sandbags to stop the vines from reaching the house. Just need to survive until the TEC arrives (e.g. 30 turns or something).
- Once the TEC arrives, they take over for you and you've successfully stopped that particular part of the vine.
- The next house is now in danger though and the vine going towards it needs to be slowed down until the TEC finished with the first vine.
- The situation at the next house is more dire but the TEC gave you some better tools to help fight back.
- You interact with the second house to start the second level.
- This loop continues until all the houses are saved.
- At the end of the game, the TEC offers you a job.

Mechanics:
- The central game mechanic is a puzzle where the player attempts to stop a vine from reaching the nearby houses.
- Any four blocks in a row will connect and prevent blocks from being placed in neighboring cells.
- The player must survive for an increasing number of turns each level.

The game was originally just submitted with windows support. A web build was added later.

Can't finish it because of a glitch where the screen freaks out on room transitions. It bounces back and forth and won't stop :(

Ah, were you playing this in Safari? Sadly godot web exports do not currently support mac or iOS :( playing on a browser on windows should work as expected!

Oh dang, must be a bug then. Thanks for the heads up! I'll try to reproduce it and get it fixed once the judging is done. Hopefully the judges can play ok

I love the music and design, they are both so funky! I also enjoyed that the vine can branch off anywhere. The vine puzzles were fun however got a bit repetitive once I realized certain block placement patterns worked really well. I feel like I might have missed an upgrade or additional mechanic, not sure. All in all, I had fun and this is a great submission!
