Does your game or video link contain movie spoilers?

No (completely spoiler-free)

Anything you want to say to players before they play?
WASD or Arrow keys for control.

Windows Defender may complain about the game... As far as I know this is a false alarm.

Also it does not like windows scaling so I uploaded a windowed version only. It you have problems, try to:
1: Set to ignore the scaling in the compatibilities tab of the executable properties
2: disable the windows scaling

Interesting game. I included it in my Movie Game Jam compilation video series, if you’d like to check it out! :)

Sorry for late feedback but feedback is still feedback I guess?

I enjoyed the game I just think the journey to the end of the desert should have been shorter, because if you are giving a player super meat boy level difficulty they shouldn't have to repeat that much when dying.

Anyway one thing I do want to mention is I'm going to make a Game Jam Spotlight Video on my favorite games from this jam on my Game Design Analysis Channel Etra Games in a few days! So here's a shameless plug to my Youtube channel if you want to be notified of when the video releases! :

Sorry wrong link I updated the post with the correct link!

I love the art style and just SFX game feel this provides. I finally was making some good progress on my final run. I will have to check out the movie soon this was awesome!

Great mini-epic!
A great take on the film/scene.
For some reason, the "follow the footsteps" reminded me of a bit in "The Secret of Monkey Island", but anyway...
Love the style in this game, both visually and audibly.
The sandstorms are very effective - made me very paranoid that I'd walk into quicksand after all my hard work.
I think it would've been nice to have  some background music as well, as the footsteps get a tad repetitive after a while.
Otherwise, I really liked it - congrats and good luck! :D

Really love the atmosphere in this, very simply and very well done. I have died a many deaths in the desert.

Nice atmosphere, I liked the simple UI. Sounds were very appropriate even if sourced, nice job.

Cool idea and well done. I do wish there was a pause button, I inevitably hit Escape trying to pause and ended up just closing the game when I was so far in.

Also on a side note, nice to see a Godot game here... have to love FOSS game engines!

Developer

cheers! A pause button is a good suggestion. My include it in a post-jam version.

Thanks again!

This game it's very well done, it has that nice balance where it's not too much hard, but it isn't easy either. I had a great time playing it. Great Job!

I really liked it. Gameplay is simple, but the way things are obscured by the storm makes it challenging and interesting, and the audio is very effective at making it feel gruelling. Nicely done!
