Quite a fun game for a five-hour project! I got my score to 2500, but the game was lagging more and more the further I played without dying. The trail effect on the cat is fun, together with the sprite it makes it seem surprisingly threatening. I wish the game had a timer, because as it is the safest/dominant strategy is to bait the cat into the corner of the room; with a timer, more risky play would be rewarded. A significant negative for the game jam, though, is that the game doesn’t use the theme (Sci-Fi).
What happened actually I read afterwards that sci fi was the theme 😅 and the lag was maybe due to some settings I forgot to change will do better next time 😁
Interesting considering the theme of the Jam. Good concept along with fast controls. Next time you can add a menu and music as well as change the graphics to suit the Jam's sci-fi theme. Overall not bad!
