Themes
We used the themes:
All Systems Are Broken & Unconventional Weapon.
The first theme affected the very concept of the game: all systems aren't yet broken, but you have to break them! You're a computer virus trying to shut down various systems. You do this via shooting computer bits, which is our unconventional weapon.
Tools
Game Engine - Unity. Pixel art - Aseprite. Audio - BFXR & Audacity

The idea is good to go for a walk in the computer to put the zone and the graphics are nice but I find that the game is a little stiff on its controls and lacks a little information to help the player to find his way as soon as the anti-viruses are a little numerous
I beat the final boss but it took me a few tries! Super tight and fun shooter, with a unique premise. The parody programs and stuff were funny too.
Awesome job.
This game was super fun! It was a little bit difficult at times, but the respawn mechanic is super forgiving, so you never have to worry about losing progress. Nice job!
Really fun! :) A bit difficult for me. The fact that it shooting with 1 and 0, many little details... Nice.
Very fun, the mission voice really made me feel like a special operative.
Super fun, pretty tough but very forgiving which I appreciated. I liked that the more zones you cleared, the harder the starting area became. Making my way to the ‘settings’ app was harder than I thought it would be, that was neat.
I liked that the fire rate was just tied to how fast you could press the button. I started doing a weird two finger double-tapping strategy that let me machine-gun down enemies which was super satisfying. The boss at the end was fun too, though a little easy compared to the areas before. Nice job!
Thanks very much! It's always super rewarding to have someone notice these tiny details like the homescreen getting more difficult.
System down. It was very hard, but when I realized that the fire rate is not limited by anything, then the thing went. Great game, liked the atmosphere.
Haha yeah the spammy shooting adds a certain charm I think
Very cool story! Its pretty difficult, and the camera is a bit fidgety sometimes. I loved walking across the desktop and opening apps. I felt like I was in control and not being railroaded! <3
Thanks so much! The feeling of freedom was really important to us and I'm happy we managed to pull it off!
This was a fun game! Definitely difficult, but the areas are short enough to where it isn't a pain to restart and try again. And the Boss fight is sweet, nice work!
Really appreciate that!
Loved the concept! The idea of going into different directories and exploring around was a great idea. I really wish I could have pressed the start button though XD.
Haha thanks a lot! Not sure what you mean about the start button though
I liked this game. I was a bit struggling with the camera, I think would be better if player would be always in the center.
Awesome polished game!
congrats!
Thank you!
the final boss was amazing, and the checkpoints were very useful. I wish i was able to know where the enemies are coming from, but other than that the game is very enjoyable
Super happy you liked the boss! Thank you for the high praise (:
Very funny concept (love the cutscene!). I feel like it was hard to see where the enemies were coming from and sometimes they got a bit too overwhelming (mail level for example, right when you come in). It was a bit hard to hit them, and know when they hit you. Other than that, it’s fun! Like randomdoodle said I appreciate the checkpoints.
Thanks a ton! I'm happy you liked the concept. Yeah the 64x64 limitation was rough for this type of game, and we probably made the sprites too big haha.
I probably almost destroyed my keyboard mashing on those arrow keys to defeat that last boss:)
I really appreciated the checkpoints after you complete a task and definitely encouraged me to stick out to the end. Neat concept all around and the voice work was great!
Haha glad you enjoyed it. Hope your keyboard is doing ok (;
