Cute puzzle game! I included it in my LowRezJam compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :)

I like the puzzle mechanic! I feel there needs to be a signifier of the amount of health you have on screen though.I tried keeping track of how much I had but I kept losing count as I tried stategizing around. Also, what do the green bananas do? That wasn't obvious to me.

A neat little puzzle game, with a fun visual style though! I could see it being sweet with a few minor quality of life fixes

Thx for your great feedback. The green bananas are just some collectables you can collect during the run.

I wasn't expecting this to have such coherent and focused gameplay. It's a little weird that your health is like a resource where you have to plan and strategize around using it to get past enemies, but it totally works.

Just by doing that one thing, you're way above most of the games in the jam. You can actually plan and strategize, the core of any good game design. So few games have that.

I would make it so the player can always see their health. Pressing a button to see health is somewhat awkward and most people can't remember what they just saw.

Lovely game!

I have always loved the games where your health is a resource, and you need to observe the objectives around you first to not fail while you're spending your health. Your levels are pretty great in this case. It was an exciting experience! Visuals are on-point, and the audio keeps the player in the "solving puzzles" mood. Also, you have done a great job about the resolution restriction!

Good job!

Cool puzzle idea :D

The puzzles and progression here were great, I liked that so much of it was eliminating red herrings, and that there were enough to meaningfully think about. That main theme was an incredibly funky jam too, took me straight back to sitting in front of the TV playing infinite-in-one consoles. Very charming.

Have to say this game surprised me a bit and I keep retrying more than I intended. Fun experience! Some clearer indicators on where I could go to new areas would have helped planning, but overall quite nice!

Nice job.  Unique puzzle mechanics and great art.  Music fit the game really well also.  Took me a little bit to actually figure out the gameplay, it could've used a little tutorial or a little more robust description.  It is refreshing to not have to read a paragraph on a game jam entry though, and I was able to figure out what was going on fairly quickly so that was just a minor gripe and didn't keep me from having a great time with your game!

Really groovy puzzle game!

I liked this little puzzle game, but I think it really could have used a UI which shows health, I know screen real estate is a lot when you only have 64x64 pixels, and I know you could press x to show your health, but I think that a constant, on screen UI would have made it easier to plan my moves.

Great concept and design, I'm impressed by how you were able to make the light backtracking fun! I love the art style as well :)
