Glad to see I didn't make the only multiplayer entry!
Fun little game. I think the dynamic background helped elevate the simple visual style, and I like the muted but varied color palette.

Did you work in a team?
Just me! I did the design, programming, and music. My brothers helped with testing. Note: I hit some multiplayer hiccups on the last day, so this submission was one day late.
Was the resolution a challenge?
I settled on a 50 by 50 pixel arena and minimal color scheme early on, which made low resolution not too much of a hurdle.
What did you learn?
I learned how to make a networked game from scratch! Multiplayer is hard, tho.
This is really flipping cool! Style is brilliant. Bold move doing a multiplayer game, but I think you've pulled it off! Love the fact that the music is in 11/8 (that's a time sig I can get on board with!) :D. Nice work!
Fun game. Unfortunately, I don't have any friends so I had to play against a bot. I hated that bot with a burning passion. But not because of the AI, it was perfectly balanced! (Not too hard, not too dumb!) Well done.
Unfortunately, I can't seem to play it. Your gameplay gif looks real nice, though.
I'm on Windows 10. It's giving me: "This application requires a Java Runtime Environment 1.8.0_74".
