bro this game is sick the polish is incredible. Fantastic job
Very well done game on all fronts! Looks amazing, sounds amazing and plays amazing. You also nailed the difficulty, hard enough to keep me interesting but balanced enoughs so I kept trying to win. Great job!
Incredible polish for a 9 day jam. Good work!
The visuals are very very good. The game kinda plays like blacksmithing overcooked but I felt like everything was too fast, maybe because I was on keyboard
You and your team did a beautiful job on this game! If I didn’t know any better I would definitely have though this some released on steam sort of game! I really enjoyed that you added a little mini-game to the crafting, with that little extra of having the chance for a random special strike to boot!
For me, my biggest issue with the game is just how much time I had to finish an item… but, really, that could very well be just a skill issue on my part.
There’s not much more I can say, really. As I said, you and your team did a beautiful job! Thank you for sharing your game with me during my stream!
And if you ever want to rewatch this rando internet dude play your game, here’s the link to my playing
Very solid all round production. Everything is very well balanced - the music keeps the pressure on, the controls are thoroughly intuitive, the goal is clear (especially if you've played other Overcooked style games). Reminds me of the classic Flash games on the early web. I love how we've gone for the extreme opposite levels of chill!
Would not be surprised to see this somewhere near the top of the leaderboard.
Great game, with a lot of polish, and the art is amazing. Quite difficult to complete, though. Congrats on your first Godot Wild Jam!
Loved the gameplay and the graphics!
Reminded me a lot of the web games I played when I was little. Modern and nostalgic.
As others have said, very very polished, love that! Looks great and feels great! What really got me, in a good way, was how fun the actual forging was to hit correctly within the window of the bar. It's one of those things that makes you say, this shouldn't feel that fun, but really was! Great job!
Immediately liked that you actually made an icon for the game. Absolutely crazy polished, loved the sfx. The game was also rather hard which I can kinda appreciate. Oh also the game was super intuitive, which I really like, didn't have to go look at the tutorial, which is something not so easy to do with the time restrictions of a game jam
The audio and visuals are stunning! Gameplay could use some balancing, though. It’s very difficult on the first level. Orders appear and disappear too fast.
Super cool graphics and epic music. I loved the setup and story but I had trouble with the gameplay as I'm bad at this kind of minigame and couldn't get a weapon forged in less than 7 hammer hits. I think it's really hard to force the player to forge 3 consecutives hit. Super game anyway, great job !
Stellar artwork and sound design. The minigames were fun too although the main formula doesn't stray too far from something like Overcooked! or PlateUp that isn't necessarily a bad thing. This really lends itself well to the theme.
Extremely polished entry from a supusedly really talented team. This game with a map of levels and new items and challenges could be a commercial project!!! Super impressed
Probably the most EPIC depiction of smelting and forging ever conceived.
Love the epic music, the tone and graphics. The dramatic angle during the forging minigame.... so perfect! You nailed the atmosphere here. I got 10/25 and I can't see how I could possibly get to 25! I was going as fast as I could, man! Really fun tho, love the unique character design! The sound of the hammer hitting metal was soooo satisfying too. Super well done. Bravo
Tricky but fun and just gorgeous!
Amazing project, nails the forge theme perfectly. I couldn't get very far in it due to the difficulty of the minigames. With RSIs in both hands/wrists there's a limit to how much enjoyment I can get out of QTE style challenges.
Love the music and graphics tho, stellar job!
Really beautiful art in this one. Hard to fault anything really. The minigames were a bit tricky but that adds nicely to the frantic nature of it all.
God this is so well done.
I found the minigame fairly unforgiving -- I'm not sure if this was because I was getting a tiny bit of lag from wireless controller / playing in a browser or a skill issue (NARRATOR: it's definitely a skill issue). Even so I love this so much and your team should be super proud. I will say managing to nail an inspired piece is super rewarding.
Art and music are perfect for this and even the plodding speed of Bert which I normally would hate in this style game fits the story so well that I'm in love. Only critical feedback I've got is that I found the targeting along the bottom row to be finicky -- i suspect because Bert only has a left/right facing -- and the timing is maybe a bit tight leading to a high skill floor.
All around bang up job folks.
My wife asked me why there was epic music playing from my computer.
But seriously, the polish on this is insane for a game jam.
Is this hand-drawn art? Kudos to the artist, mad talented!
I told myself I was too old to have the reaction speed to make a legendary weapon. But I just couldn't give it up.
Eat that BERT!!!
