Great visuals, game was very difficult! The bugs that I encountered were already mentioned in the other comments. Has a blast nonetheless!
Thanks for the feedback! I'm already working on fixing the bugs / weak areas so hopefully you will get to play an improved version at some point!
Would love to play your game so without Mac version I'll try downloading the source and building myself
hmm, there are issues in the code so can't run. Might try to resolve tomorrow
Ah **** sorry!
I enjoy how you choose to do the theme.
Like others I think the Fov was way to close so it made it hard to react to the bugs in a reasonable amount of time.
Some visual feedback on hitting the bugs would of been nice I wasn't quite sure If I was even doing any damage to them in general. I personally like the left click to move for the style but would of also like to click on the map and the player move to that spot with the option to hold click to move. Overall impressive for the time you had
Hey JWR26 nice to see you back in another jam!
Since I am experienced in 3D Jam Games I write down some analysis / thinking’s for improvement. I know its hard in jams with the time frame and 3D games. But maybe it helps for future.
Still very good job on this and looking forward to see more from you! If you need some during jam feedback and I am joining as well feel free to hook up I like to help 3D people during jams.
Thanks for the detailled feedback! I am deffinately going to have another look at the code to see where I can improve it!
Too hard to kill a parasite, got a bug when i get damage in the next level but no infection is shown. And after i died and restarted a game i still was getting damage.
Btw, FOV is too low. Or there should be a kind of a map (e.g like in diablo:) )
first thanks for playing!
Sorry you got bugs, but thanks for pointing out everything to be improved. As for FOV, we wanted a claustrophobic feel, however if we would have balanced the enemies better perhaps it would be a little easier and kept our claustrophobic feel.
I will look into why you are getting damaged after dying and thanks for pointing this out to us!
Very cool, impressive for a single person project in this short period of time. I encountered two problems while playing 1. if i pickup medikits my game crashes 2. i have nearly no reaction time to attack enemys come in from south because the caracter is not centered :(
hey, not a single person effort at all! We were 4 in the end! I'm sorry your game crashed, where abouts did this occur? Unfortunately our ambition meant that tuning the gameplay was not done ! We went big :)
Color me impressed by this little game! It's really good! I really liked this. It's got a cool aesthetic, the tutorial was integrated right into the gameplay. It was fun to run around and explore. It's maybe overly difficult? Takes 3 shots to kill a parasite, and your pistol shoots pretty slow. Felt like I had no control over the encounters, and fights were more about being far enough away to give me enough time to kill the thing before it got to me than anything else. Still, fantastic little game! Good job ya'll. Keep developing!
hey thanks for the kind feedback. Unfortunately due to the scale of our idea and our time available we didn't really get to balance the game. I will take note of your critiques and perhaps we will upgrade the game at a later date!
