Game Description
You take control of a Computer Assisted Trading System (CATS) in a stock market and have to match up buy and sell requests.
How does your game tie into the theme?
CATS is a stock market trading system from the 70s (according to wikipedia) which is what you are controlling in the game but you also play as a cat.

Misunderstood the game at first and was trying to "buy" for a low price and sell" for a high price :)
Once I understand, I was supposed to be being a good system and not make money buying/selling, I did fine.
I played three days but got a little repetitive, some different mechanism could have stretched this one out - maybe letting the player drag and drop to organize or something, not sure
Lastly, sound sound/music would have helped too
Thanks for submitting though
That was very fun for such a simple mechanic! I do feel it needs a twist on the mechanic somewhere in the middle of the game. I don't know what it could be though...
I would also suggest adding audio. Some nice sound effects really bring life to a game.
Anyway, nice job! I had a lot of fun playing your game!
I like the backstory and theme application! Although the gameplay is pretty basic I still played it for a good while.
A simple number-matching game where you do your best to get as close to a match between min and max. Sometimes, you have to decide to use what I like to call "throwaway matches" to make space for other potential matches.
There's no bonus or penalty based on the difference in the match, so the ideal strategy is to match two numbers as closely as you can. Pick from the small side first, then choose from the large side to match with.
Because there's no shortcut to victory or defeat, I am inclined to agree with my compatriots about the tediousness of the game.
A competently made product, but requires some liberties with its premise to be enjoyable.
Thanks! Yeah, I agree 100% about the tediousness, it’s not something I would really want to play a lot of myself :D
Overall fun (and funny!) in concept, but I think the basic gameplay was a bit too tedious (which I guess was kind of the point). It got a good chuckle out of me anyways!
Thanks! That’s a good idea, I might pretend that it’s meant to be tedious :D
Always remember, it's a feature, not a bug! ;P
I think an idea to make it more fun could be to be able to choose which part to automate each day, until it is actually completely autonomous (fake it till you make it!). Like, an upgrade could be to highlight all items on the right stack with a lower value than the currently left one selected. Another could be to further filter by only highlighting those of the same company as the one currently selected. Another could be the ability to sort by price and so forth. That would add a winning condition as well.
Nice game idea! For me, the continue button wasn't working on fullscreen but with the normal window, it worked just fine. Cool concept, definitely adding sounds would improve it nicely. Good job!
Thanks! That’s good to know about the button not working on full screen as someone else mentioned it not working so this narrows it down!
Very cool concept! I felt like sometimes you had to make bad trades to not fill up the trade slots on either side if you would be unlucky enough to not get the right pricing- Maybe some system in place to generate pairs somehow... Either way cool and unique little game- very much enjoyed it, great work!
Thanks! Generating pairs is a good idea, if I do any more work on this I’ll have a look at doing that!
Made it to day5 and then it was just too fast! I spent more time than i thought on this. well done! A little bit of music after jam would make it perfect!
Thanks! I left the values for how quickly requests generate until the last minute so it was kind of a guess that I didn’t have time to test :D
Fun game and nice to see a different interpretation of the theme! Only issue was that the continue button didn't seem to work after the first level. I wanted to see what other mouse/cat themed companies you came up with!
Thanks! It's odd the continue button didn't work, I just tried it again myself and it seemed to work for me so it might be to do with the end of day results as I added that very late and they are different for everyone. I did make sure to start with the better companies though just in case something like this happened, so they only get worse :D
