Looks very nice!
The visuals are great and the gameplay was satisfying, love the concept of being able to change de dice faces!
cool
I like the ability to add faces to the dice and also that your action depend on the color of the dice face. I think your game need a bit more of player agency, like for exemple rolling two or more dice and ask the player whitch roll they want to use.
Anyway, congrats for your game !
Indeed, it was kind of the idea (as in the only way to add some strategy other than picking the best face) to add more than one die. Of course, we didn't have the time to do so ^^'
Thank you for playing!
Very neat combat system, although got a little repetitive after a while. I enjoyed the dice building although found the die would roll off screen sometimes.
I really liked the dice rolling effect. It felt a lot nicer than most other games I've played so far. If there were more enemy types, that would make the game even better, but I know that the time restraint is tough. Good job!
I really wanted to see the end, but it doesn't feel like there is any skill to the game. Kind of just a movie where you click a button here or there. If you could get health or upgrades some other way that might feel a bit more like I had control, overall it was well polished and delivered on the intended premise.
Did you forget to download the export templates until it was too late or did you just not know how to get them? Extra points for going open source I guess.
Thanks for your feedback, as far as the export is concerned, we ran into a real problem with the export mechanism proposed by Godot. Despite several hours spent on it, we still haven’t managed to find another more “elegant” method.
We are currently investigating why and trying to find a solution, but it seems to be a lot of redesign on how our 3d models work.
I investigated. The Problem is a case mismatch somewhere. Renaming res://assets/graphics/characters to res://assets/graphics/Characters seems to fix it.
Wow, thanks a lot! We were going crazy over that. Seems crazy that the editor is not case sensitive but the export is x)
Thank you for your investigative work, especially since this is a silly mistake… Unfortunately, GMTK’s policy prevents us from uploading a packaged version during the voting period.
Polished, good graphics, the battle music is amazing and I liked the pace. Easy to play and understand. Good concept I enjoyed it.
