As others have said, this game is incredible. I really hope to see it in the finals of this game jam :)

This is it. The game I'm secretely jealous of. What the hell guys, how many minutes does one hour have in your country xD ?

I can't believe how polished your game is. The concept is genius, the realisation is immaculate, graphics are fantastic, music fits perfectly... Everything is just... Wow !

The rolling dice dealing damage is a wonderful idea, doing combos on multiple enemies felt awesome.  The "crushing" part is also a lot of fun, and allows the player to always have a solution, even if the RNG is bad.

The number of units/icons was a bit worrying at first, but after seeing each unit one time, the associated icon on the dice felt very natural. Kudos to the artists that made the UI cristal clear, it is something that is often underlooked, especially in short game jams.

You're my first 5/5/5 notation of the jam, completely deserved. Congratulations !

Thank you for your nice and comprehensive comment! Player feedback is what motivates us and keeps us going!

Making a jam game is always a bit of a gamble, sometimes you overscope, other times your are too late to realize that your gameplay loop simply isn't fun. This time our initial game idea ended up working amazingly, and we even had enough time to add extra content and polish, such as the intro cutscene and voice over. Being jam veterans and watching a lot of GMTK videos also helps!

Super fun game! Appreciate just the mouse controls as I'm super lazy. Really like the dice doing damage as I roll it and the random part of seeing what to get next. I was nervous at first because there were so many symbols but found learning what things did and how to play the game to be fun on its own too. It was a little hard to keep track on what was an upgraded dice and what I had in my arsenal. And sometimes I didn't notice when some dice was unplaced. Definitely super satisfying to play and I really enjoyed managing my battlefield. Re-rolling dice kept me invested on what was going on and planning where to fortify. I think it'd be cool to have upgrades for other things besides the dice abilities like dice placement or if some dice when rolling them did additional things to have more stuff to do during the dice rolling portion. But it is a more nice to have. Game is great already and it is always so super impressive what you manage to do!

Developer

Thanks, happy! I do think that the dice could be introduced a bit more gradually in the beginning to make it not so overwhelming. I hope it didn't end up being a big deal to many players. Good to hear you had fun with it!

Imma be real with you, chief...

This is the best game I've seen so far and the first one I'd given triple 5 stars.

I would write a text wall on the things I liked, but I wouldn't want to tire you with reading, so just assume that I meticulously talked about how I absolutely loved every little detail in it.

I beg you to release this game on Steam. I'll buy it in a heartbeat.

Jesus, the game is even only 6 MBs. I don't know what to say.

First of all, I absolutely like this game, the dice cause continuous collision damage, the placement also causes damage Design is indeed more clever to solve some of the strategic problems, but the time cost of Roll is too high, so players will tend to cast all the dice at the beginning, I can see you want uncertainty (throwing), and hope for certainty (put), a little tangled, but overall it is really good.

It's amazing how it's well polished and fun at the same time, I'd definitely have played it if it was a "real" game on Steam with some more mechanics, amazing job you did there !

Thanks, glad to hear you liked it!

It's perfect! The Art, the sound, the gameplay. Magnificent!

Played it and recommended to some friends, we all liked it! The system design is very interesting, it reminded us of the wallnut rolling game from Plants vs. Zombies. Maybe limit the dice type a little bit at the beginning? Though with how fast it is to try them out it is hardly an issue. Overall, this is a solid game! Good luck!

Developer

Thank you! Plants vs zombies was absolutely one of our main inspirations for the game. We basically brainstormed it as "PvZ but with dice and gore"

Exceptional game for a 48h game jam ! The art and audio is great. Feedback is really juicy (when i figured out i could throw dices directly at the enemy... awesome). I had a really good time !

It's maybe a bit hectic at times and sometimes I was a bit lost, but overall a great experience, congrats !

Developer

Thanks! We do have the tendency to make busy and hectic gameplay/effects, hehe

This is amazing! The art and polish is great. It got a bit too hectic for me, I just threw dice out and placed somewhere, didn't really have time to think strategically. Worked out alright anyway :)

Great job on this one!

WOW ! just wow...

So fun, so polished, so original ! This could easily be a fully released game.

The amount of work & content you've put on in just 2 days is just incredible.

Great work ! Would be surprised if your game doesn't make it in mark's video.

Developer

Thank you! Here's hoping!
