How does your game fit the theme?
This game takes the word "Roll the Dice" into a whole different category. In this game you have to "Roll on the Dice" to get to the end. Your character rolls a dice to use the dice as a platform, or to end up just rolling on it, either way the whole game is around strategically rolling dice.

As they say, 5 dice is all you need. Well designed levels and a fitting music.
Unity physics is a bit finicky, but definitely still enjoyable in it's current state.
Congrats on finishing the jam !

Physics could use a bit of work, but there's potential.  Also, the music slaps!

I like the mechanics of spawning a dice to help. It's fun and has a lot of potential for more levels.

The game has really cool ideas, but they're a little poorly presented. For example, I didn't even imagine I could roll on top of the dice, I just glitched my way through any level with this mechanic. And it's a pity, because after watching the video, it made SO MUCH SENSE what I was supposed to do, and I found it pretty crafty! Maybe consider drawing a little explenatory doodle of the guy rolling on top of the dice? Or maybe put in a level where it's just spikes and you have one dice, so you're forced to learn how to roll? Either way, considering it was made in just 24h, it was a great experience, especially with the nice music, the fancy background and the little power trip at the end, which is always nice :D

Thank you for your feedback! I was thinking of adding a ghost like figure or something showing you how to do the roll thing but decided to work on more important things due to the limited time. I’m glad that you enjoyed the power trip at the end^^

I really like the presentation and idea of this game, and I'm impressed that you made it in such a short time frame. Though I feel like it relied a little too heavily on the default physics engine, I got stuck in the wall a lot and most of the mechanics were really hard to get working as intended. Trying to jump off of dice usually resulted in me getting dragged down with them, and the rolling only worked like 10% of the time. Really impressed with the fact that you made all the music and the art on your own though.

One level seemed impossible until I understood how to cheat :P

nice pixel art, and always love platforming games where you build your platforms :)

Now, could I ask you to give our game review? We are stuck into "low-ratings hell" :(

That was that you "cheated" was actually a intended way to beat the level, there are many things I added into the game that I didn't directly talk about in the game, I did this to give the player a sense of feeling clever or as they took advantage of my script even if they didn't.

Fun little game, a very literal take on the theme with rolling the dice to complete the levels :D. It would be cool if rolling the dice also resulted in some effect, but that could also lead to a lack of control. Overall, well done!

I loved it! It a great way to fit the theme! =D

At first, the controls feel a bit weird, but once you get used to them, it's a real pleasure to play through the levels.

There's a lot of cool tricks to do! They aren't apparent at first, then you discover them either by accident (dice rolling to cover big spikes gaps) or by thinking you broke the game (dice jump ^^), before you understand that it was the intended method all along right at the next level '^'

The only thing I would have changed would be that the side of the dice should represent the number left (5 -> 4 -> 3 -> 2 -> 1)
But apart from that detail, nothing bad to say about the mechanics!

The music is cool, I'm not sure if it goes well with the game, but I like it.

Great submission! =D

Thank you for playing, I’m glad you enjoyed it! I was actually going to add the different numbered dice at first, but since the game is called, “5 Dice” I just made every dice a “5 dice”.

interesting way to fit the theme! nice game

Really liked the concept and the different uses of the dice (as platforms, for double jumping and as a rolling platform to avoid spikes)
The controls and physics aren't very natural, so even if we know the solution to a puzzle, it's a struggle to execute it.

The presentation is good, the graphics and music are lovely!

A bit of unresponsive controls. It would be better if you could throw dice further.

Loved the pixel graphics and use of the dice to jump
But some levels are sooooo hard haha

Enjoyed the game but I am stuck here

Nice clever interpretation of the theme and some good use of level design.

Well done for submitting.

I didn't realize you were supposed to roll on the dice until I beat the game and looked at the description lol

More platformers, hooray!

Definitely much rolling of the dice going on here.

Bringing a limited number of items to modify the platformer is an interesting concept. Impossible maps suddenly becomes possible, sometimes in multiple ways!
