How does your game fit the theme?
Biggus Smallus Blobus fits the theme because you need to constantly grow or shrink to finish the levels. You need to collect blobs to destroy all the enemies whereas sometimes you need to be small to get through tight corridors.

One of the best games I have played in this jam so far! I am impressed. Personally, for my the levels were very hard, but thats probably because i am not used to playing with the mouse.

What a banger! I love how quickly you can blaze through the level and how many options you have to do so. Absolutly loved the game!

My only suggestion would be about the timer - I wish there was an options to play individual levels for practise or at least have another time counter which doesn't include restarts so the player can figure out which path works best for each of the levels. I was able to beat the game in 194 seconds but had quite a few restarts so now it's hard to tell whether I should complete some levels differently or just try my best to replicate the solutions I've already found without dying.

The movement system you created works so well for speedrunning! Would love to see the full version of the game some day!

P.S. I also found the bug when sometimes you dash to a blob close to you while being on a platform you fall into the platfom collider and it takes some time to fall out of it.

Hello Dron231! Thank you for the feedback!

I agree with you that we should be able to play individual levels as they are not really linked (you do not keep your speed between levels, unlike Celeste for example). As a matter of fact, this is clearly something we have to add to the game.

About the timer mechanic you suggest, I find that it could lower the barrier of entry to the speedrunning aspect of the game. And I truly love it! However, we should keep two timers: one with the restarts and another one without the restarts. So players managing to complete all the levels without any restarts are rewarded!

PS : Thank you for the bug report! We will investigate this one.

Great iteration of puzzle platformer! Unfortunately I got blocked at level 8 or 7, my character died and immediately respawned but it couldn't move and I wasn't able to restart. The gameplay is great, a bit difficult from times to times but still doable. I love the levels, they are great and I had some "haha" moments. Congrats!

Developer

Thank you for your feedback mate! We really appreciate that you had these "haha" moments as it is something we cared about a lot during development! About that blocking bug that's unfortunate, we will look into it!

Amazing game! The mechanic of shooting slime and launching towards it not only works well for platforming, it also provides a good puzzle of figuring out when and where to shoot them. It's also just very responsive and satisfying to use! The game feels very polished too and has lots of cool visual effects. I did run into an issue where the font at the top of the screen wasn't rendering correctly. It sort of had a dotted appearance at first (as seen in the screenshot), and then after a few levels it disappeared entirely. This was in the web version though so the browser might be the issue. It's not a big deal though and the game is great!

Developer

Thank you very much for your feedback Berneyvonbean! We were quite surprised when we discovered that the shooting slime and dash mechanic could be used to do puzzles! After that, our level design approach was "find your way" -> mental challenge and "execute" -> physical challenge.

And about that UI bug, thank you for reporting it!

Very cool! Nice art, nice gameplay. Very fluid controls.

You did put some challenge here! Both in strategy and execution. You have to figure it the a solution and do some tricky platforming to solve the level.

I managed to reach level 10 or 11.

Developer

Indeed the game is quite challenging! This is one of the thing we are going to fix first by easing the difficulty curve across multiple levels.

Congrats on reaching this far!
