The controls getting inverted when you grab really confused me in the beggining

What do you mean. It seems normal to me

Loved the game style!

This was very interesting! I liked the mechanics so much that I would have loved to tried them out outside of an Bennett Foddy-like framework hahaha. Altho I do understand why you went that route given the controls.

Great submission!

yeah no, this kind of game definitely ain’t for me haha, I couldn’t even get past the first crate and it’s definitely not the most challenging thing

nice work tho, definitely this Getting Over It vibe - and the pain associated to it as well haha

Very impressive visually and I liked the control scheme (after getting the second arm).
I could easily see this become a full game.
I think it would be improved by adding some additional visual indicator when a hand is grabbing on to something (like in Heave Ho). Right now it's sometimes hard to see with the hands being small and getting covered by the body.

The only foddian game I enjoyed other than getting over it

Submitted

Really polished experience with lots of small details
Spent about 0.5h to beat it and get my dopamine dose like after a souls boss)
But it is not really hard and actually, the game is quite fair
At first, controls were confusing, but after getting the first upgrade it started to make sense indeed as devs said

It's actually quite interesting to see how many more rage games and rage game inspired games were made for this jam. I wonder if its to do with the theme being adjacent to getting over it.  I do really like the little robot guy and I think you did a good job implementing the pre-made 3D assets in a way where they didn't feel out of place.

Cute art style, very hard to play on laptop with a touchpad! Good job! Also music is very relaxing

It's like Getting Over It, except fun instead of mean. I made it to the top and got all the gears. This is one of my favorites so far in this jam.  The one-arm section was a little rough (I first assumed it was mouse or WASD instead of both, even though now that I check again the instructions do show a ). But once I figured it out and got the second arm, it got really exciting. I appreciate that each upgrade made it easier to get back where I was faster each time I fall, so the climb felt risky enough but still let me spend the majority of time reaching new areas instead of redoing old areas.

Game looks very cool but controls are a little bit clunky.

The art style looks great. The beginning has a "getting over it" vibe, but the game seems quite long (I didn't finish it I'm not very good at this kind of games) for a game jam, impressive !

I think what feels weird about the controls is the way that you need to move the arm over to the right, but then once you grab something, you need to move the body to the right - not the arm around and to the left. This means that physically, my mouse keeps moving closer and closer to the end of my desk, and it's a weird disconnect in what I'm controlling moment to moment.

but the viusals are clear, and I can totally respect that this can tickle the fancy of those who like things like Getting Over It

Love the development of the character as you progress. The controls are difficult as you climb for example, it takes several attempts to get it right.  I know it helps you share empathy with the player but it does make gameplay / progression slow. That my only critique. I really liked this.

Pretty good game, a great concept, and very cool gameplay, great job!

Neat concept! Stopped just after getting the hook because that was where I fell, but it seemed pretty solid (other than making the first hand you get being the left hand where the entire first section is about moving right, that was evil). Nice work!

How heavy is the game!? xD
It was interesting to play, the control were a bit unituitive for the first part (moving the mouse in the same direction of the grab, was more nautral to push the mouse in the other direction personally), but the arrow controls helped to make it easier.

The the second part when we upgrade the robot we starts to have fun in the climbing, good job.
