Great art! Really fun game with great music too! Will be back for more! xD
This game was neat. Loved the hand drawn art style, and the music was a banger too.
Streamed today!
Easily one of the most fun games I played this jam! Everything from the art to gameplay loop to the certified banger soundtrack work together fantastically! Would have loved if there was an "ending" where if you get larger than the boss, you can eat him too. But seriously, awesome work to y'all, this game rocks!
Incredibly fun to play.
The mechanic is easy to grasp, the art and environment is top notch, and the audio fits so well.
This is the most polished game I've played from this jam yet!
Very fun game, i like that you have a lot of comestibles and you can have an infinite scaling. the controller was smotoh and the gameplay easy to understand. I liked it a lot !
So fun! Art style reminds me of Super Meat Boy and the Binding of Isaac. One thing though is that it wasn't clear to me when the boss went hungry
This is quite the mash-up! Katamari meets Cult of the Lamb meets Roguelike upgrades with a sort of arcade-y points system. Really fun!
Great upbeat music that fits the vibe perfectly, and the art direction is a lot of fun.
I felt that there were times I took damage that was basically unavoidable. Might be part of the risk/reward design (so you can't be big for too long) but sometimes the damage felt a bit unfair.
But overall a really fun and well-polished entry. Great work!
Very nice entry!
I really liked the music and the gameplay loop.
Very fun, love a good eating game! Great style, music, sfx and polish! The permanent bonuses felt like they could have been more diverse as currently they're all about points and usually one is clearly better than the other. It would be interesting to have bonuses that encourage specific froms of play. (maybe one that lets you keep more mobility for example vs one that pulls smaller enemies to you for example) The little guys who give you temporary bonuses only appeared in the first two level for me, maybe a bug? Same thing here, would be great to see a temporary speed bonus, or some crazier things like having a ton of smaller guys spawn at once. Hitboxes didn't always feel super fair, but it's always hard with this type of view, and mostly it was fine. The multipliers multiplying each other work great in making the game extremely satisfying.
Obviously a very solid entry, great work!
Love the music, the juice, the art. Seriously! Only thing that bothered me was getting stuck on the borders especially when you are big. Overall, Great game!
Its so fun !!!! so polished :) great job
Wow! What a fun arcadey-game. Movement felt fun and great, and the screen shake/polish was top notch (and especially important to nail in this genre). The atmosphere was definitely a strong suit of the game.
I did run into one bug on web version where-- I think it was the game over screen-- appeared? Two blank buttons only and the game froze, but there was no text, etc. Also when I got spat out, at first I was still large and then, after a delay, I shrank, maybe a small visual bug?
The multipliers were a bit confusing, I don't think I fully understood them, but it was fun seeing them go up and growing anyway!
I loved the chaos and the sound effects. The little guys running away were cute and the art style was unique and interesting. Great work!!
By far one of the best game I've seen on this jam. I love the progression style. The music is perfect. The drawing are perfect too. I loved the camera movement on the settings page
Really fun mix of Katamari style gameplay with Vampire Survivor-esk progression. Art music and SFX are all top-notch, great job!
Very cool arcade game.
I love the risk / reward trade-off when you choose to either go big or feed the boss right away. the gameplay actually changes slightly when you get bigger. It's much easier to eat creatures, but more difficult to avoid attacks. You zoom across the arena trying to zigzag between tentacles, it feels awesome!
The upgrades add a vampire-survivor flavor that is welcome.
Good job.
Wow. This already feels like a finished game.
The music is awesome. It gives me crazy Cult of the Lamb vibes. The style does, too.
I also really like the gameplay with the different upgrades and especially the combo system.
The only critique I really have is that sometimes it feels like I am getting hit by the boss, even when I shouldn't.
But that's probably because in 2,5D, it's hard to get a full grasp of the actual hitbox of your player.
Nonetheless. This is a great game with lots of potential. Good job!
OMG, this music is awesome!
The game is super addictive, and the animations are fantastic. I’d love to see an epic animation of the beast for the game over screen.
The timer could be a bit more visible. But overall great job this is a really well made game!
Wow what an incredible jam game!
The art gives a very strong Cult of the Lamb aesthetic while being it's own thing, very polished and very juicy. The music and sounds are perfect.
I was a bit confused by some little things at first (timer, objective, collision that felt a bit out of place sometimes), but once everything clicked, I couldn't stop playing! The core idea of the game works extremely well.
Here is my best score, I think I'm done now 👹
People, this is absolutely pristine ! The gameplay is fun, renewing and sort of addicting, the art style is great (reminds me of cult of the lamb), incredible work (not that I'm surprised coming from you)
Thanks a lot :)
so much fun! banger soundtrack! my only problem is when you hit a wall you lose all momentum and cant get away from the tentacles which was frustrating in the beginning and then I learned to just stay away from the walls (especially the bottom one)
