Wow this game just looks and feels amazing. I wish I could have continues I got so caught up in the main stuff I never got to do the side missions. Overall great experience.
Lovely art style, big GG to the artist!
Impressive, endearing artstyle by Nicolai N. Jorgensen, Maya Saietz, and Æmilie Bom Cholewa-Madsen which sounded like it took a lot of work to accomplish. The music and sfx also by Nicolai were fitting for a chill town vibe although it was a bit basic and non-distinct. The sounds for the creatures were very fun. You mentioned in another comment problems with z-axis which I noticed a bit. I wasn't able to do any of the chores requested by the townsfolk before I accidentally stumbled home which seems to just freeze the game with an ending. The only bit of design I thought could be better is giving the player more navigation sense when becoming very small. I could see it being intentional to be lost in a big world when at that scale but there weren't as many specific landmarkers at that size to gauge where you're at. Fun, cozy concept overall. I liked how the shrink spots looked like Appa from ATLA's head lol and the wizard looks like the Doodle Jump guy.
Absolutely in love with the art style! Couldn't really do any of the side missions tho the game ended when I got home right away, I wish it continued even after getting home
10/10 art style and core gameplay idea! The execution of the actual gameplay is a little unrefined but for a game jam that's what I would expect!
I would love to see a full game in this art style with some gameplay polish!
weird gameplay, didn't really get to any side missions and could only get home
Really enjoyed the style and the puzzle-solving of figuring out what size I needed to be to get around. I unexpectedly ended the game when I walked by home, though, so I didn't get to complete any of the quests.
Thank you!
Such a cool idea. I really like the feeling of the game. Check out Paul's Big Race when you can!
Thank you! Paul's Big Race is your game? I will check it out :)
Wow, were these sprites handcrafted on paper?! Looks epic!
Game idea is also great, tho I had some problems with objects colliding too much.
[copied over my reply from the game page]
Yeah, so much drawing, and so much time spent cutting the sprites out in Krita... xD
There's a million little collision and Z-layer things we wanted to fix, but alas, we were out of time for the jam.
looking nice! Interesting idea. I just couldn't quite get, how to get quests.
Thanks for checking it out! To get quests, simply go up to a character, and keep pressing E until the dialogue is done/the quest shows up on the TODO list.
Excellent execution, full of potential! 5/5! Please rate mine as well!
Thank you so much! I'm exhausted right now, but I'm taking a look at your game tomorrow for sure!
The art and music is awesome, but it is confusing and I couldn't change my size, so I did not see full potential of the game.
Bugs:
In full screen mode in the browser the music glitches and the game slows down.
Huh. Can I ask what browser you are using?
Microsoft Edge (windows default browser)
Cool art, was unique. Physics was a bit janky, but I got a hold of it after a bit. Very cozy. I think this is the one game jam game where actually I enjoyed reading the dialogue and blocks of text.
Thank you so much! I'm exhausted right now, but I'll take a look at your game tomorrow :)
