Neat! Enjoyed it, good work!
Thanks!
fun game, im really intrigued by the fish ai movement, looked pretty solid. My only feedback is that I wish there was a way to tell remaining hp on boats
Felt very addictive, and it was fun to see the fish move. I didn't understand the white arrow on screen, and I do think the smaller boats posed more danger then the larger ones.
Whoop whoop! Another fishing game where you play as the fish! It's always fun in these jams seeing how people take a similar idea and take it in very different directions. Very fun trying to corral all the little fish to attack the bigger ships. Great job!
Thanks!
This game is really good and has lots of potential to be even better
This was a really fun game! I loved getting a massive fish army and instantly killing the boats later on, fish movement was done really well!
I love the gameplay!
at first, I didn't know I could take the boats down, well they have quite lot of hp you know
but after I knew it, it was really fun to play! also giving more fish after destroying boats is also a good idea
nicely done :)
I love how intuitive controlling the fish felt. Well done :D
I love the turn around that your not just avoiding the fishermen but taking them down too! Do you think you'll do any post jam work on the game?
It's possible, but unlikely. If so, there are a number of neat features we'd love to add.
Nice concept! Love to destroy the boats!!! Maybe you can add additional feedbacks when the boat is hurt by the fish (like a flash) and some power-ups to transform your fish in sharks only for a few seconds (just the first idea that came to my mind^^). Anyway, good job!!!
Yeah, we were workshopping the power-up idea. But we run out of time, sadly. Might still implement it in an update. Thank you for playing!
The gameplay is very simple, but very addicting!
It's so nice to see what was just a small group of 5 fish turn into a shadowy monstrosity over time. It gets a little harder to control because the more fish there are the more likely they are to get separated and caught, but it's a good way to balance it out.
The music goes well with the little swimming animation.
The only three things that need an update:
But that's just my feedback, the game is still very solid, great job! ^^
Thank you so much for your thoughtful and detailed feedback. It's much appreciated!
The boid behavior is a bit weird sometimes but overall this is fun
Very nice game! At first I thought it might be a bit simple, but that definitely didn't matter. As many other commenters said, there is a bit of an issue with understanding what is happening at first. But when it clicks it's very enjoyable and addictive game. The movement of the fish is really cool. One small design issue I'd personally consider is that those big ships are actually the easiest to defeat. They have only 2 big circling spots aroung them and nothing on the boat itself which makes it so the player takes no risk actually destroying them. It is a bit slower than the small boats but it's almost impossible to lose anybody there, so that may require some small changes. Other than that though, great game and a solid entry, congrats!
Thanks for the feedback. It's very much appreciated.
Nice game, really liked the swarm mechanic, and how you need to circle around if you want to keep your fish grouped.
As others have pointed out, some tutorial or hint on how to destroy boats, and some more feedback (e.g. boat hp) would definitely help to understand the game faster.
Also, the background sometimes makes it hard to know how fast and in which direction your moving (i know the fish follow the mouse, but sometimes it doesn't 'feel' that way), and it's really hard to get to the last boat (lost a lot of good fish on the way).
But overall, really cool!
Thank you so much for trying it out. Your suggestions are much appreciated.
Some tutorialization or feedback for attacking would be good because all I managed to do was kill a bunch of fish. Movement and animation is nice though
Cool game! loved the movement and how it controls
I think that with more feedback when damaging boats, it would be a lot clearer :)
At first i didnt figured out that i had to slowly aproach them so i ended up trying to ram the boats and lost all my fish when they bounced off hahah
Thanks a lot for checking it out.
Neat game, I enjoyed the controls, very clean. I think that maybe adding something for the player to do while avoiding fisherman maybe could be to collect more fish in your school as you swim around, which would increasingly make it more difficult for you to not lose fish to the fishermen. Just a thought. I had fun playing !
Thanks for checking it out. Your thoughts are very much appreciated.
Awesome game! The controls felt great and I loved the music, nice work!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!
Nice idea and pleasently executed. GG! The music adds an adventure and relaxed vibe to it.
I really love the way the fish move, I spent a lot of time in our own game working on how the tentacles moved around our game, and I think your fish are very much along a similar vein of very satisfying to watch on the screen and how they react to your mouse. Visually very appealing motion.
I sometimes felt like the camera bounced around a bit much as my fish spun, but maybe that's part of the challenge. Overall well done, really nice look to it.
Thanks for trying it out!
