This is a really cute game that I could see easily becoming a very fun mobile game. The difficulty curve was perfect, easy for the tutorial and then increasingly difficult without ever feeling unfair. I was able to survive until about 30s from the end when I got greedy and tried to move a trolley across the entire map to get a coin (since I had all of them up to that point) and ran face-first into it.
One thought I had is that it would be nice to be able to drag the trolley across multiple tracks at a time, directly following the cursor and snapping to the nearest track instead of having to swipe multiple times to get one across the map. That'd require some rebalancing, I'm sure, but I think it would make the game more enjoyable. Great submission!
Thanks for playing! I did consider allowing the player to drag the trolleys across multiple tracks, but as you said, it would have taken quite a bit of re-balancing and 3 am me didn't think it was worth it -- lol. I will definitely play around with letting the player drag the trolleys across multiple tracks in the post-jam version.
I'm glad you liked the increasing difficulty levels. Thanks again for playing :)
Simple and fun idea. I felt that the obstacles are moving slower than the environment. That felt a bit weird. Apart from that the gameplay is nice. Interesting way of adding coins to reward the player for dragging away obstacles.
Thanks for playing! Yeah, sleep deprived me was struggling to get the background to move correctly -- I needed to spend more time improving the game-play.
I was able to tell myself that when the game starts the trolleys are moving with the player but slower, and that when the trolleys sped up and started moving faster than the tracks that all the conductors decided to spontaneously shift into reverse. Lol, not the best explanation on my part, but it made sense at the time.
I'm glad you liked the coin system -- we decided to add them because the game-play was rather dull at first. I appreciate your feedback! :)
i like that kind of take on the theme, very neat and quite exciting!
was quite relaxed first half of the game when suddenly things got out of control :D
I'm glad you enjoyed it -- thanks for playing!
It can get a little of control, especially if you have a lot of trolleys spawn right in front of the player.
Liked the game, but died twice with less than 10 seconds left D:
Subway surfer nostalgia)
Yeah, the last little section can be a bit difficult, but I'm glad you liked it!
Thanks for the feedback!
Great game! Was positively suprised to see a few tough situations at the end where I felt I had to give up a few coins.
Thanks for playing! Yeah, getting all the coins can get petty tough at the end.
interesting and fun concept, well polished. gj :)
Thanks for playing!
It's a really creative idea, and I can see it maybe get expanded a bit with different kinds of obstacles! Some criticism would probably be that I wish that the game started to move faster the further into the game you got. I enjoyed the game :)
Yeah, we decided to shorten the game last minute and I didn't scale the increasing difficulty super well. Thanks for playing and for your feedback! :)
Nice game!
Thank You!
Lots of fun! gets real hectic, and also the music is gonna be stuck in my head now...
Thank you! I'll let our musician know that their work is appreciated :)
