This concept is great! I liked the idea of a protecting light very much. However I would agree, that the suprising changes of the guardian makes it a lot more difficult. You could make the movement of the guardian feel independent in other ways. For example instead of going a linear route, the guardian could go in circels or go back a bit. Anyway I loved the music and the graphics were also fitting. I really enjoyed playing the game.
Good job!
I liked the concept here, and I think it’s well presented.
I think I could have done with a bit more hand-holding at the start, it wasn’t super clear how the two interacted, and I was always surprised when the guardian changed direction, etc.
Thanks for the feedback! The surprise was kind of the goal, the guardian is supposed to be its own independent thing and you're kind of at the whim of it. That said I agree that the early levels should communicate that a bit clearer, will consider that in future design work!
Love the atmosphere of the game! Simple and straight to the point. This would certainly go well with some story telling if you plan on continuing this. Nice work!
Really nice!! I was thinking with the first two levels that the game would be always the same in a straight line, but the light kept moving in different directions and I liked it. Really nice jam game.
Id appreciate if you play and rate my game too :)
I love the concept and sound for the game! It has a empty devastation kind of feel and you can feel the safety when close to the guardian. Sometimes I think the timing is a bit precise but I really enjoyed the gameplay! Would love to see this develop further:)
I like the whole soundscape! The mechanics have a lot of potential!
Damn that was sad! The ending left me devastated. How could she :(
She? :) Thanks for the comment, really appreciate it!
The light didn't rescue me at the end and just left. I don't know why but it felt like a she ^^
I love the soundtrack and the atmosphere it gives off using sound effects combined with it's minimalist visuals. Sadly I got stuck extremely early in the game and couldn't figure how to finish the level. Maybe a way to tell the direction the guarding is heading or where it will end up could help clarify the level's solution without as much trial and error.
