How does your game fit the theme?
We combined two senses from humans, sight and hearing. Only if you merge these abilities together, you will be able to escape the lab.
Did your team create the vast majority of the art during the 48 hours?
Yes

very cool and interesting and pretty and awesome and interesting and innovative and original and well presented and fun and funny and cool and awesome and interesting and appealing and very well done all in all.
I would recommend
Thank you and thanks and Thank you very much!
great atmosphere. AI doesn't always work though which is a bit of a problem for a stealth game. but I do feel you could make something pretty special here
Thank you for your feedback!
Very spooooky game. Gave me Half-Life 1 vibes after the experiment goes south.
I really enjoyed going through the lab, it was quite intense. One thing I would suggest is to make the zombies a tad slower, often spotting them and reacting requires really quick reactions. I think it would be a bit easier for a jam :)
Congrats on making a great game.
Thanks a lot for playing and writing your comment! If we continue working on this we will definitely include your feedback.
God, AI programming homing zombos in a way dark game definitely had me running for my life... in vain.
Great atmosphere though, and the game looks polished. Perhaps the theme is a bit too loose, but great work nontheless! Congrats on finishing the gamejam, and thanks for helping me when I got stuck ♥
Thank you very much for your input and Im glad I could help you <3
Really love the atmosphere on this one, great job
Thank you very much for playing!
Nice game! It really spooked me out :P
You can add something with which you can kill the zombies (Maybe power-ups you can collect along the way), because the game is really hard as of now.
The blood in the hallway adds to the scary atmosphere. Good job!
Thanks for taking the time and playing the game! And that is a really neat idea so if we will continue working on the game we will definitely think about this one.
Excellent horror game! I tended to get stuck on edges a lot, as did the zombies, so smaller hitboxes and some AI might help with gameplay. Needs more ways to interact with sound and light, like items you can throw/set up that make light or sound (a bell you can toss, a cell phone you can leave behind and then call from a landline, etc.) or mirrors and other optical terrain that you can shine light off of. Some areas where the lights suddenly turn on for a short intense dash through a room with zombies that can see you (with an accompanying music change) would help to break up the horror segments and spice up gameplay.
Thank you very much for playing! These suggestions are really great and if we continue working on the game after the voting period we will probably include some of them. Thanks again.
Really spooky entry! The stinger sound when a zombie spots you actually got me a few times. Our entries are similar in some aspects, so it was also very interesting to see how both designed each similarity. I like that you fleshed out the idea more, with different types of zombies and the addition of a flashlight, along with a more detailed environment, with corpses and blood on the hallways.
Really nice entry overall! It's nice to see a horror game for a jam entry.
Thank you very much!
The atmosphere is incredible in this game. It was actually pretty damn scary at time and the lighting helps add to this creepy dark atmosphere. The mechanic of the flashlight works really well in making the environment creepier. Since from what I can tell the flashlight is what attracts the zombies to you but is also your only real way of knowing what is going on. So it leads to this cool dichotomy where the flashlight is your main tool of survival but can also be your death sentence. All in all interesting horror game with well executed mechanics.
Thank you very much for your kind feedback!
Great job on this game with amazing atmosphere! Loved exploring the lab, it was a great experience. Great work!
Thank you for taking the time and playing it! I will check out yours as well.
Great ambience, it's a fine work.
Well, I didn't manage to break my way out because of a mixed feeling of fear and "Shit, I'm not in control !", but sure, it was nice.
Thanks a lot for playing!
Terrified the life out of me. Great game, never playing again.
XD
OOF i really got scared with that first zombie. You really nailed the horror feeling! I personally think it's a bit too hard to find your way, You have to repeatedly die and figure out what the path is, sure it adds to the feeling of fear but it makes the gameplay kinda frustrating after a while. That said, the mechanics are nice, luring enemies away from the path you need to take using different senses allows for some tricky puzzle like levels, and the art is very representative of what happens on screen, it fits well. Sound effects and music were really good. Btw, Idk if you know this already, but if you're moving when the first dialogue happens in the tutorial room the player stops but the animation keeps going, along with the sounds of the steps. Overall really nice entry!
Thank you very much for taking the time and writing this detailed comment. I agree that the game is very hard and the way of dieing and dieing so often is not the best thing. Its very nice that you liked the game! We know that the animations are a bit buggy in the tutorial but we added it half an hour before the submit, but anyways thanks a lot for your kind feedback!
The first zombie to come out definitely made me jump! I'm not great with horror games, I did my best but didn't quite have the guts to get through the final levels. Still, I really like the concept and the sound design and art worked well to create a moody and unnerving atmosphere. I am a bit unsure if the game fully fits the theme, it's quite impressive regardless. Good job!
Thank you very mich for taking the time and playing our game. I admit that the connection to the theme is a bit loose…
That's alright! There was a bit of a link between your actions and where the zombies would end up, like linking the flashlight to the spot you wanted the zombie to go. It's not super clear, but I think there's still an interpretation of the theme to be had.
I wish I could play your game, but I've had issues playing a significant portion of the browser based Unity WebGL games from this jam. When I hit the play button, I just get an infinite loading screen with the Unity logo. :(
Maybe you could try an other browser? Helped for me.
You really captured a great atmosphere and it's really impressive that everything was created in just 48hrs, I like the idea of having the two different enemies that you can only identify with the same tools that will allow them to find you, but, I think perhaps it's a bit too punishing in that regards, as soon as any of the zombies got sight of me that would simply chase me down even after turning off the tools and running, and the range of the sound "sight" made it so unless I was spamming it I'd walk into the zombies before I could see them more often than not.
Overall I think it's a great idea and the presentation is top-notch, really impressive work!
Thank you very much for your input and the time to play it!
Yea we noticed that the zombies are way to fast and the game in general, especially the last level, too hard. Would you think a tool to see the zombies only and they dont see you with a coldown would be good for the game?
Hmmm, that could be an interesting addition yea, or perhaps some sort of little visual indicator around the player when they are near a zombie, not giving out direction or anything so they'd still have to use their tools to find it, but, it'd give you something to help identify the sound based zombies a bit better. Lots of ways you could go about it, and there's every chance that I'm just bad XD
Thats a very smart idea. If we will continue working on this we will definitely take this into count. Thanks a lot!
This game is spooky in its good meaning , i was really in effect of the atmosphere - and it's a great idea with it's great implementation , GO M8!
Thanks a lot for this feedback!
It was not my type of game (I cannot play horror games, see that as a plus), but the atmosphere was very good.
Thanks for playing anyways!
An incredibly immersive horror game! Accompanied by an amazing soundtrack and good audio cues as well as a tense and intriguing story. well done!
Thanks a lot for taking the time and writing a kind review!
Oh wow! This is the first horror game I've seen in this jam and it does very well in that regards. I love the sfx, they're very immersive, the setting is well-made too and the little set pieces with the dead body and the blood really set the mood. The whistling and flash-light mechanic were also great too. One nitpick though is that the guitar music that plays in the background is a bit much for the setting and if it were replaced with a softer more eerie track that would really sell the tone of the game. Another thing, I fail to see how this game fits the theme of the jam :/
Thank you very much for playing and giving feedback! The connection to the theme that you have two abilities that are combined and only if they work together you can escape, but I admit that the connection is a bit loose.
