Wow! This was a lot of fun.  Simple, but the control was really smooth.  I loved the art too

Fun little platformer with a twist, could do with some sound effects though. Keep up the good work 👍

Submitted

Nice game and fun.  And you had time to create a super logo too! Well done!

Submitted

The idea (chain) has potential and I had fun playing it. It could really use some audio/music to fill up background :(

Submitted

It was fun! I like the idea, but I didn't feel the need to consider the death orb until the level with the platforms that has spikes all around. Maybe it could push a little harder :) But it works great, looks polished!

Submitted

Great game! Loved the presentation and the challenges!

Developer

Thanks!

This is a very cool game despite its simplicity. Its instantly addictive and I didn't want to stop playing. Art is great too, just wish it had sounds. Great job!

Developer( 1)

Thanks for the feedback! I plan on working more on this and sounds are definitely on the list of things I want to do.

Submitted

Not sure why, but I can't get it launch. Blank scree. I tried it a few times :/

Developer

Yeah, I actually get the black screen sometimes as well. Seems completely random. My guess is that it's an issue with the web player. I probably should have included a downloadable version.

Nice game! I think it's a pretty good idea, very good visual style. It was very fun! Keep creating games!

Developer

Thanks!

Wow! Since it felt like I was playing with someone else, it could be interesting to see this project in a "local coop" mode, with 2 players having different objectives.

Developer

I thought about that and would have loved to have done it, but I don't have any experience with creating multiplayer games, and didn't have enough time to learn during the jam

Submitted

Under "multiplayer" I meant just WASD as controls for one player and arrows for another, for example. :)

Developer( 1)

Gotcha. Yeah, that's a good idea. I'll have to explore that whenever I get back to working on this.

Submitted

damn cool art, just enough 'out of control', just enough length. job well done

Developer( 1)

Thanks! This was my first game jam, and I felt like I should've included more levels, but after playing a bunch of other submissions I'm realizing that short and sweet is ideal for these sorta things

Submitted

ya I regret making 3 different ending for my game, I dont think anyone have even reached 1.

I really liked this, first game in the Jam I got to the end of.

Developer

Thanks!

Cool concept! The chain physics felt very well polished too! I'm not too sure what running out of fuel did because I think I could still fly... The level design was amazing though! Overall, I had a lot of fun playing!

Developer

I knew there was something I forgot to do! I wanted to make it so that if you ran out of fuel, you had to wait for the bar to fill a bit first before you could thrust upwards again. As it is, it essentially flickers between using fuel and refilling fuel every other frame, so your thrust power will be less, but it's likely almost unnoticeable to the player.

It's a shame cause it would just take a couple lines of code to fix!

Very original mechanic, at one point I questioned whether the chaos ball was another player. Nice game

Developer

I actually had the idea to do that. I would've liked to have experimented with matching you with a random partner and have them be on a different level or have a different goal.

But I had to give up on the idea partly because I didn't want the game to need multiple people to play, but mostly because I have no experience with creating online multiplayer!

Submitted

So creative!  It was very fun to move the ball and chain, and I like the pixel art. If you have the motivation you should keep polishing this game.  I had no sound?  Even a simple music track would have been fine~ Congrats on successfully submitting a game to the jam and I hope you learned a lot of new gamedev skills.  Please check out my game when you have free time :D

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! I'm planning on adding in some sound effects and/or music after the jam!

Submitted

Nice mechanic that adheres to the theme of the jam.  Nice job!

Submitted

REALLY fun and true to the theme - just enough chaos that I felt like I was out of control but not frustrated that I couldn't influence the game.  Nicely done!

Developer

Thanks Drew!

Wow I really like this one, I won't lie at first I really didn't get it, I thought it was impossible to control myself and that it was completely random but progressively I learnt to fight through the chaotic ball, and this felt really good. It's like playing a coop game with a friend that will constantly try to make you die, but in a fun and fair way once you get it, you have just enough control to not die an unfair way but it's still chaotic enough that you most likely won't get straight to the goal :p

That last free fall definitely made my heart skip a bit, I was lucky enough to fit right through the first time but oh boy did I see death coming as the gap became tighter. Lovely landing in the roses :)

Developer

Thanks! I designed all the levels at the very end, and I was really scrambling cause I was exhausted and had work early in the morning, so it feels good to know that they were appreciated!
