follows the only 1 theme really well. I found myself getting a little bored throughout it because it felt a little slow and there was little satisfying feedback of things expanding even though i knew they were. It might help to limit the player to only seeing a couple things at first (like only the small house) but once they got to 5 people then a little reward icon would pop up and the house icon would glow, you click on the house icon and see there is a new medium size house option that is glowing to let players know exactly what was achieved. another option for satisfying feedback would be to have the population counter shake or pulse or have a green plus sign pop out of it when a new member was in the town (negative effect when you lose members) these are just small things, but i know the game jam was only 48 hours lol. i really enjoyed having to manage and juggle my resources one at a time. i wished it was a little faster. good job!!

Beau travail ^_^
adherence to the theme 10/5 stars, really cool idea. one flaw i saw was that the houses felt a bit useless as i just used the cinema to raise happiness but thats about it.
An interesting take on the theme, I think you had the perfect number of plates for the player to spin. I personally felt the "game" was in determining an optimal routine, and it might be good to lean into that. Perhaps it would make an interesting programming game, where you have a weekly planner and you block out periods of time for different building types. Great presentation and well thought out.
This is great! First off, I LOVE that camera shot as the game opens. That's a really nice touch, instantly an inviting experience. I found the gameplay to be fun and challenging to figure out the best way to win. Like, just when I thought I had it, something would be running low. The day / night cycle is a super important touch to the gameplay, I didn't get it at first but once I understood it really opened up a whole new dimension to the game. Awesome work! :D
Honestly! You're game is perfectly balanced! It's really hard to be able to get money and at the same time keep the hapiness, water, and electricity and I think the challenge and the stress of the game is what makes a great game! Great job with this!
Small and simple, but peculiar idea with a very good realisation. Don't look at the visuals, they doesn't matter, the gameplay is addictive and balanced as hell, eventually, you won't pay attention on the visual. Well done!
It took me quite a while to get through this but oh my, was it fun!
Maybe instead of unlocking the city you should have the player slowly unlock plot after plot and continue to develop their city VERY slowly.
If you have to juggle the assets you have down I think it would be very good if you could use multiple plots to generate more and more as the game goes on to unlock other aspects of the city.
Do you plan to continue working on this?
Wow, I really liked this! The UI looks great and the concept is really cool, and it made for a fun little balancing game that I think really could be expanded on, and a fantastic interpretation of the theme. The sound effects were great, too. My only problem was that for a while I was on 10 pop and I kept trying to use the large office only to realize that it needed me to have more than 10 people, not 10 and more.
Great idea! Quite different from anything else I've seen during the jam. Keep it up :D
Park is an OP building, it produces happiness and doesn't waste anything. But understanding it is the key to win. Lovely game, a really nice idea!!
Two thumbs up. Very good explanation of goals and using UI to describe game mechanics
