I really enjoyed playing that game. It's very polish and pleasant to play. I find the idea super interesting. There's a lot of diversity in the characters :o Good job !
I also made a little video compilation of games from the game jam and you're in it : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-mJWndlAIwk
Very similar to this one. Which is a good thing, as I really like the idea. :) Love the variety of faces, like the highscore mechanic that rewards you for being quick and found it especially clever, that you can also miss the target, if you're not aiming carefully. Fits the theme ("only one shot") and prevents you from only focusing on the features displayed in the sidebar and aiming with peripheral vision only.
My game: https://njamster.itch.io/wonkey (playable in browser, not mobile friendly)
Oh wow, it's remarkable how similar they are! I hadn't even seen that game until now.
Interesting that you liked that you could miss, because I'm really not keen on that myself. I feel like it's too punishing and puts too much focus on precision aiming, not identification. It does add an extra 'only one' element though as you say. I'd be inclined to make it lock your input for a few seconds as a compromise. :)
Thanks for the review! I'll check out your game now!
Humm this one is addictive in a weird way.. aaand it's still running on the second screen :D
However, the idea is funny and fits the theme very well, as well as the mechanics.
Alright back to the game :D
I gotta say.. after the 16th wave it get's "evil" .. not nice :D
However, if you may like you could check out our game, we would appreciate it :)

Wow! Awesome game you made for the jam!
I actually had a similar idea where you try to find yourself and eliminate others among an arena of doppelgangers and the doppelgangers give themselves up by not responding your inputs as expected. It was too ambitious for us to finish in 48h though so we went for another idea.
It was really great to see someone make a similar idea work! I loved how you generate the artwork and how it is a part of the game! I really liked how you ramp up the difficulty.
This is one of the best games I have played on the game jam! Thank you for making it
great implementation of the theme, and very high quality final product! great job!
Cool little game. It would make an awesome NES Light Gun style game! I love the cute pixel art. Very good presentation. Everything pops! I played a couple rounds and made it to level 8. I wasn't compelled to play any more than that.
I don't know how much of the game I'm missing after that... I'm guessing it just adds more "enemies".
I know it's a jam game, but I wish there was something a little bit extra, or some kind of twist, or a simple story line to help draw the player into completing the game. Maybe on one stage you kill everyone EXCEPT the target. That way you can have some fun shooting things along the way. Maybe a boss fight where everyone looks the same except for one attribute. Definitely room to expand on this idea!
Overall 12/15. It's just missing something to pull me back in, it needs a hint of something more behind the curtain.
First level: oh this game is super easy
Eight level: damn it, matt
This is a true gem. So unique and fun! For sure one of the best I'll see around here.
Gotta love all this masterfully applied juice and smooth animations. You rocked, man!
IDK What it is but man it's so satisfying to hit the right target! Good job Matt!
Played Matt's other game Switch N Shoot. He's a pro at taking simple concepts and making them fun and unique. So I had to check out his Game Jam submission and it's awesome. Singled Out is like a more violent version of Guess Who. Will make you go cross eyed though on later levels as your eyes dart across the screen to eliminate the right target.
