Cool game I like that you get a choice of player character and there is a good amount of game juice here. Nice work.
A fun dungeon explorer. I enjoyed this. Nice art style and battle mechanic.
Really enjoyed this game, I found a game crashing bug though! when summoning if you hover over the new abilities it crashes the game! I'll attach a screen shot of the bug report I got :)
I also agree that the mage is so much nicer to play, and somehow luckier, every enemy I killed as a mage dropped a heart, while I only got 1 heart drop for the same amount of enemy kills as the knight, and with the dash not dealing damage, the mage was the easy choice for my dives, managed to get to rank 3 before I crashed ♥
This was a simple, but still fun little game! I spent a while going through as many of the little rooms as I could, trying to get good enough gear, because I had been terrified to face the boss at first. I thought that only being able to carry on one item from the last level was good, as it meant that while you could start with a step up, you weren't at a massive advantage: especially when, after one level, I ended up getting switched from the mage to the knight!
I sort of wish there had been more variety in enemies to fight and music, but given this was a solo project and you only had one week to put everything together, I don't blame you for not adding more. Good work!
Haha, glad you had fin! Yeah i just didn't had enough time for more content because i got immersed into my own game while playtesting xD, also i literally made half of it during weekends. Thank you for your feedback!
This is a really fun little rogue-like, I like playing it. Amazing how you create it over a game jam.
Thanks, i'm glad you liked it!
Nice work :D Loved the pixel art style and different abilities - it would be great if you kept your items when you level up your character!
Thank you! Leaving 1 item was the idea for the leave something behind theme, but i never thought about leaving all the items :\
I enjoyed it. I liked the leveling up etc. I found the button choice a bit annoying as I would lose my fingers but it was not terrible. Generally a well put together entry.
❤️
I think this was pretty challenging but had a decent amount of balance. The art style was super cute and fun. Thank you for an amazing game :)
Thank you for playing my game and the feedback! I appreciate it
I like it. Fairly challenging... the knight is basically hard mode.
Hehe, interesting definition for the knight xD. Thank you, i'm glad you liked it!
Really fun, yeah, the Mage has a range advantage but when you can throw a huge swirling sword like a boomerang, there is no time to reason on mechanical details. MUST. THROW. SWORD.
Hehe yeah i've set the small cooldown to sword throw to make difference between mage and knight at least a little smaller. Thanks for your feedback!
Cool game !
It's nice to handle and it's responsive. I do agree with the other comment that the mage is far superior to the knight. But as always, balancing is always a really hard task in a game jam !
Hey! It’s impressive that you managed to do all this by yourself, kudos to that! As others mentioned, the mage is clearly superior to the knight, but otherwise I like the idea and the responsiveness of the controls! As mentioned before, the knight could receive a bit of love like increased health/armor/damage or be rewarded later by unlocking stronger abilites.
Keep it up!
Thank you for your feedback! Didn't have enough time for balancing but i'll definitively do something about it in the next patch.
Great game. The mage is clearly superior to the knight as long range means that you aren't attacked as frequently when walking around in circles. There is a glitch I found where I died to the boss and killed it with the Q at the same time which caused the summon screen to pop up which stopped me from playing. Probably for the best though as I had already spent so long immersed in the game
Thanks for feedback and the bug report). I'm glad you liked it. Yeah this game is easy to get immersed into, I don't even know how much time I lost when stuck playing while playtesting xD.
One of my favorite entries! The knight is a bit buggy I think, sometimes the sword doesn't hit an enemy in front of me. Apart from this, is really nice and funny, just add a few varieties in enemies and rooms and it is perfect.
Thanks for your feedback!
Cool game. I love trying diferent combination of items and abilities for different classes and used my time to explore all these combinations and what can these offer me throughout the game :) One thing is that, it would be nicer for more dungeon shapes, monsters, and colors for more varied content. But overall, this is a great game for spending some time :D
Thank you! Yeah i'm planning to add some more shiny rooms and maybe even damage types, like ice that slows targets down for a bit.
For a solo entry this is a very good game. I liked the switching between characters and the whloe atmosphere of the game. On my playthrough I kept going right, which had me repeating the same room over and over which did break the imersion of a dungeon, as the variety wasen't there. The gameplay for melee was a little hard to hit consistently without getting hit yourself. While as the mage you can just circle the room.
The game certainly has potentional thought and the UI is great with some great transitions and effects. It is a well polished game and a solid entry. Well done!
Thanks for your feedback! Yeah i was about to add some more rooms but then i realized that i only had 1 hour till the deadline)
