Short but nice game! I like that it's a Zelda-like but add a new mechanic that makes the game unique. It needs a bit more of visual/sound feedback (I wasn't sure what the first boss was doing) and more content. It has potential if you keep working on it. Nice job!

Pretty fun! I like the Pelican gimmick, there are some interesting puzzles that can be made there, would like to see what’s next.
Be careful with the way you’re handling resolutions though, I noticed quite a bit of subpixel rendering/movement in fullscreen, probaly a Unity quirk.
Fun game, quite challenging but feels very reminiscent of the old gameboy zelda games. Short but well designed!
Very nice! It's a bit hard, but I really like the spirit of the old zelda games.
Very nice game! Good graphics and amazing sound.
I had a few issues with the game:
- First playthrough the spider at the beginning was blocking my way and killed me
- Second playthrough the spider spawned away from me so I managed to get passed him. How much hits does it take to kill the warden? (The Ant boss). I attacked him like 20 times! I attacked the head, the back, the sides but he just wouldn't die and he killed me.
- Third try the game froze as soon as the boss appeared. I couldn't move but could pause the game. The boss was just sitting there.
Hey there! Thanks for leaving a comment :)
You can't just hit the boss. He has a health bar indicating that it doesn't take any damage when you just hit it, also the hit sound is different. But he has a weak spot which you need to expose in order to damage him.
SPOILERS BELOW
If you lure him towards the edge of the arena so he misses you when he charges, he'll get stuck and expose his vulnerable back. Hit him there and you'll see his health bar actually declining :)
Very clear Link's Awakening style. It looks really good. That first puzzle is pretty difficult.
So much fun! Reminds me of the Chomp Chomp mission in Link's Awakening:
The first puzzle is really satisfying. I kept on thinking, what's the deal with these footprints?? And the A-ha moment led to the Pelican king showing up!
Sometimes the triggers to transition the scenes were a bit too small and it felt like I should've been moving to another screen but I just hadn't hit the path.
I see a lot of potential here, maybe the first boss is a big barrier for many players, I would have stopped playing if it weren't for the fact that in the comments you give a tactic to kill him. After that barrier the game improves a lot, the mechanics of the pelican are ingenious and well thought out, you can make a whole puzzle game with just this mechanic. very good job and I encourage everyone to go from playing to the end before rating
Feels really legit as a Zelda clone, was fun to play. Pretty much nailed the fundamentals of what makes Zelda, Zelda.
This gave me all sorts of Zelda vibes and I love that! The boss music was so epic and I really enjoyed the little puzzles (Even though it took me way to long to figure out XD ) Also love how this game ends with the quick cut. I say it in my gameplay video but I'll also say it here, It makes me want MORE so badly!
Here is a little game play from earlier today! (I had a bit of a derp at the puzzle but the AH-HA was well worth it!)
[Pelican Quest] Played By Carbs
Put me on the waiting list for all the content! Can't wait to play more!
What a hoot! Cool concept. Fits the theme well. Good Graphics too. The enemy collision could have been a bit more lenient or the invincibility a bit longer. But great over-all!
Looks great! Could have used a bit of music to really get into the mood
