Game description
In this interactive narrative you take on the role of a washed up Private Investigator in a dystopian future.

Find the Persona Tapes, explore the dangers of this dystopian setting and uncover the secrets that the unscrupulous MyData corporation don't want anyone to know.

Theme interpretation
The world is full of secrets, the bigger the secret the more dangerous it can be. I wanted to make a story about a secret so big that if it was unveiled it would change the course of history.

I was also inspired to try out an Ink Narrative. I love the idea of the player's experience being directly tied to their choices, the driving force behind playing the game being the curiosity of the player.

The 4 colour wildcard also helped me to decide on the art style, limiting myself to 4 colours, but switching palettes depending on the events in the story.

That MUSIC!! is awesome and it goes so well with the R3tro Aesthetic visuals. story was great as well , was getting that mr robot vibe.

Intriguing story with well written lore building bits. The retro aesthetic is very nice, and the parallalax in the pictures add a nice touch.

The music and sounds are discreet enough for a narrative game, but they still add a pleasing atmosphere. Very well done overall!

That intro was awesome, wow! This game is really polished and the story telling is on high level, huge props for making this story

Man-o-man that was great! Probably one of the most polished games I've seen come out of a game jam. From the main menu to the the subtle details like the background parallax tied to the mouse movement on the screen. A good ol' text based adventure was turned into such an interesting and captivating game. Well done!

GOATED INTRO btw. Loved the atmosphere and vibe. The post processing effects were a great touch. Honestly a great experience.

Great Art, and the music fits the atmosphere. The inspect parallax feature was a nice addition. A lot of quality detail given the limited color palette.

Frunking awesome! Loved the setting, the story and the art style <3 Got all secrets. Only downside I can think of are a couple of typos. Glad to hear you are continuing development, would love to play the extended version.

First off, great visuals. Really liked the colors, the retro cyberpunkish astethics, and the narrative was great. The writing was very well done and encourage me to replay after first run. Production value is very high and it shines through that you have a good system for the dialogue and interaction to produce a lot of story. Some more audio connected to some events like elevator dinging or tapes being put in PC and the audio would be on point! Nicely done and wish you the best of luck in the final release.

Nice work.  I'm impressed with the high production value.  I really enjoyed the parallax visual to accompany the text, and the little touches like the reflections in the monitor edges.  The colorization works really well.  Seems like a lot of work, keep it up!

I really appreciated the Art direction you took with this game. Cool use of the Parallax effect when looking around the rooms. Dystopian world felt very intriguing and made me want to explore more.

For improvements, I think you need to tighten up on the writing a bit; the cleaning you room section felt about right, with lots of options for mental resistance being presented to the player. However, the amount of text and descriptions for the Elevator and Punks cornering you felt excessive, making me want to skip some reading to get to some story progression.

I would recommend working on it more. Cool game and interesting world that needs some refining. Good job!

such a cohesively executed concept! the sound design, the reflection around the screen, the parallax, the bulging CRT display, and the scanlines plus cool graphics illustrations, made this such a vibey game. well done!

The audio and design in this is next level. Loved all the little details with the parralaxing and the reflections around the sides of the game screen. Music is fantastic. Haven't got too far into the story yet, but I'm intrigued. And as an Aussie, it's nice to see a game set in Melbourne, haha!
