Very cool aesthetic - this is the stuff with shaders I wish I could wrap my head around. Well done! I struggled for a while to understand what I was doing with X and LMB even though it was explained that it was used for scale. I got stuck when I came up the wall with arrows - I could not run across, but slipped down off the wall each time.

Super cool idea and execution. You managed to capture that portal-style testing chamber vibe really well. I could definitely see this being expanded into a full game with a story.

Really neat game, I love the aesthetic as well. Really cool graphics, nicely done!

Feedback on the new version: The physics of the small black box has been greatly improved, and now there are almost no bugs when picking up and moving the black box with it.However, new problems arise in determining the trigger mechanism of the black box. If you put the black box completely into the black container it won't trigger the mechanism. To trigger the mechanism....., you must Angle the black box into the container so that it makes contact with the outer wall of the container and then angles into the container I've attached screenshots to show you what's going on

PS:I finally manage to complete  the whole game. Walking on vertical walls feels terrible......

Developer

Hi, thanks for the feedback and pointing out a new Bug! It should be fixed in the newest update!

good luck! and I will be happy to test the new version!

Super trippy. Like wandering through an impossible dream. I really liked the unique art style, but if I'm being honest, it kind of hurt my eyes somehow too. Not sure if that's just me or if there's a way to mitigate it, just saying it how it is. Regardless, I loved exploring this bizarre fractalized world. A good last game to play before bed.

Take this a little further and I think there is a market for this on Steam that with a bit of luck you could potentially tap into.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! Theres sadly no way to disable the flickering lines, which proved to be both a problem to some players and video compression software. If i ever choose to further develop this game I´ll probably have to fix that

Really cool concept. Good antichamber vibes. This is a hugely ambitious game, and it’s almost there! It just needs a little more polish to really take it up to the next level. I’m able to pick up cubes through glass(?) walls, and the physics is slightly rough. But like I said, this was a huge undertaking already that just needs a few minor details ironed out, so great work! Definitely kept me enthralled longer than average compared to other games in the jam!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! Might have set a too high goal for this game since there were a bunch of bugs after release, but it still turned out pretty decent imo

Loved the graphic, reminds me of manifold garden and my all time favorite game Antichamber. Puzzles are nice and interesting, maybe a bit easy but feels like a prologue where all mechanics are explained. Some weird physics interaction between player and cubes (they get shot away when picking up sometimes) and some invisible walls missing while falling. But that's all, the game is good and i feel like it can be expanded into a full fledged game. I definitely would play a full version of this.

Developer

Yep, the world is heavily inspired by Manifold Garden and a bit from Antichamber. Cube physics are still broken sadly but im working on fixing them.

Definitely the most unique art-style here.

Puzzles were well though out and the level repetition was amazing.

I did get softlocked twice because the cubes disappeared. First one happened when you're on those infinite falling towers, right as you enter the portal, there's a cube right in front, picking it up made it disappear and I couldn't progress.

The second time it happened was on the last section, the cube kept teleporting forward and it moved beyond the wall.

Still a nice experience though

Good work!!

Thanks for the positive feedback, and even bigger thanks for providing GIFs on where your bugs happened!

Very ambitious and impressive game! It would definitely benefit from a little bit more polish: I encountered some glitches with cubes teleporting and refusing to be carried, ran into invisible walls. Also, far away lines were constantly flickering and wall running felt janky.

I couldn't figure out that it's possible to pick up the cube when I first encountered it. I thought it's a parkour game and that I had to bunny hop over the long gap and I got confused about the difficulty, but then read the comments and realized you can pick up cubes.

Despite the glitches, I enjoyed playing the game a lot and I'm really happy it ended up on this jam! Great job!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! Sadly there wasn´t enough time left to fix all of the bugs but I´m working on some post launch patches to get the game in a better state ( :

I’m a bit fan of minimalistic art and weird geometries. A nice mix between manifold garden and antichamber. Unfortunately, I also lost the cube very early and I couldn’t progress further. Great sound…except the swampy footsteps feel a bit out of place ;-)

Developer

thanks for the feedback! Ive just pushed out a new hotfix that should (hopefully) solve the issues with the cube physics

Yo, the art style and sound desing of the game is amazing! One thing that i would like, is some kind of sprint to move faster on a bigger locations. Not a fan of puzzles, but the game is nice!

Made it to the end with this one, very fun game!

Positives:
- Great art style! Loved the sense of scale the repeating background gave to the game. Very reminiscent of Manifold Garden in that sense.
- Mechanics were relatively simple and explored in a neat way. I particularly liked how you could hit yourself midair and fling yourself over walls.
- I'm a sucker for the non-euclidean geometry aspects.
- I discovered that you can bunny hop to keep momentum which was cool (dunno if it was intentional though haha).

Negatives:
- I nearly got stuck on the puzzle where you had to fall from the top of the tower to the lower bit.
- The wall running was a bit janky and felt like a bit of an afterthought.

The game really shines when it's doing the "test chamber" type levels where each puzzle is contained within it's own room and it leads directly into the next puzzle. This is where I had the most fun with your game.

All in all, I very well done project that I enjoyed a lot!

Developer

Hi, thanks for the long and constructive feedback.

Bunny hoping is semi intentional btw. I could take the time to fix it.. but i like it as well lol ( :

Absolutely fascinating art style.  I‘ve only played until wall jump was introduced cuz a box disappeared :( But the game was really good though! Nicely done!

Developer

thanks ( :

Just pushed out a new hotfix that hopefully fixes the issues with the cube

Cool visual style. I wanted to play more but unfortunately couldn't get past the tower puzzle due to the cube teleporting back to the platform when I tried to jump down holding it. Also I would like an option to change the mouse sensitivity because it was very slow for me (but this might just be that my mouse is very slow).

Developer( 1)

Cant add the mouse sensitivity option due to game jam rules but the issue with the cube dissapearing should hopefully be fixed now

Submitted

I'm not much of a puzzle player, but this was really good. The artstyle is immediately compelling and, in my opinion, more pleasant to look at than a lot of the other abstract games I've seen. The only downside I encountered was that the lines flickered very heavily, despite playing on a high resolution monitor on the "high" graphical preset. Honestly, based on the clarity of vision and design, I don't think it would have too far to go to be a commercially viable game, if that's something that you're interested in.

Developer

Yea the shader makes quite the problem especially in Videos since it cant be comrpessed properly.

If i ever choose to make this game "real" then Id probably rework the entire shader.

One of my cube disappeared so I'm stuck :'(

I know that feeling, there are disappearing cubes in my game too hahaha

Developer

Should be hopefully fixed in the newest version!

What a cool concept, I adore the visuals, I tried doing something similar with a point-and-click adventure game a while back, and should probably get back to doing that someday. The puzzles were creative and fairly challenging, I didn't encounter any bugs while playing either. It was a smooth experience with a nice UI and fluid gameplay. Sound design complemented the rest of the game well too. GG!

Developer

Cool game, the visual are weirdly pleasant. Them hurt my eyes, but give a weird feeling at the same time. Maybe having some softer edge could make it a little better tho.

I like the presentation too, UI and transitions were nice.

I couldn't finish the game, cause one of my cubes just went through the floor and I could get another one :( So that might be a bug with the cubes that you want to look at.

A sprinting button could have been nice, some of the walking between puzzle felt a little long.

And at time, the lack of music was weird, feels like you always need a white noise of some sort in this kind of game, else it's WAY TOO empty, know what I mean?

But all in all, great experience, I think the visual exploring idea has a lot of potential!

Developer( 1)

Thanks for the feedback. Currently trying to adress the issues with the cubes.

About the music: I think you may have muted the game since there is music and sfx.

Submitted

I mean it wasm't silent, I had music and sfx sometime, but some section didn't have music, just the sound of me jumping around, which was a little jarring.

Developer( 1)

yea I guess there is a 20-30s gap between the soundtracks.

Submitted( 1)

Gorgeous game, but yeah, moving around the cube is super janky.

Developer

cube physics should be fixed now

Submitted

It's definitely a lot better! However in the puzzle with the towers, once I've gotten the first cube down a level and put it on the button, the second cube (in the room at opens up) just disappears when I try to pick it up.

Clever game, nice art and polish!
