Tanks! VROOOOOOM AND BOOOOM!
I don’t know if my head canon constructed an explanation for why the tanks (quite cool model btw) flew like daleks or not; or if I understand the level designs. I got Big Red down to 1 star and I think got shot from behind.
But the explosions are so satisfying. Oh so satisfying.
On the second level there was a pair of tiny tanks that didn’t explode. I hate those tanks, they don’t explode.
All the other tanks… Oh so satisfying. There are no flaws in this game, because the explosions are the game, and they’re great.
Hey Becky Im super happy that you like the explosions in the game! Thats one of my favorite parts too! Our team has an updated version of the game where all the tanks explode regardless of type and we have installed some more bug fixes in our new version that has yet to be uploaded. A couple small quality of life changes I'd suggest here would be to have the tank be semi-transparent when the player is aiming in a direction where the tank itself blocks he view. The other option being to design the levels in a way to minimize the need to aim low. I had a hard time killing enemy tanks as my tank body blocked a lot of the view, especially the second half of the first level.
Overall, a decent base set of mechanics that could be easily updated to give some really juicy tank combat.
Thank you for the feedback! I thought about doing an over the shoulder camera view like in Uncharted's combat aiming mechanic to keep the tank body out of aiming viewpoints. Super easy fix to make and make the game a ton better, thank you so much!
fun game
Really like the voice and concept. It seemed a little clunky with the controls. At certain angles I wasn't sure if my aim was off or if maybe it wasn't actually firing because it was behind the tank in the camera's perspective. I really struggled when there was just a whole swarm of tanks.
I kept thinking of Daleks playing this game.
The tank models look cool, and I couldn't help but move my head along to the soundtrack you used. Voice acting was also a nice addition. However, I felt there was a lack of animations on the tank, additional sounds like explosions when missiles hit, or the heavy sound of the tank engine as you move through the level. Camera was a bit weird to use to me as it had a pivot behind the tank model instead of it orbiting the tank like in other third person vehicle combat games I perhaps am more used to. Additionally, the exploding tanks were cool but there were a few times when I did get stuck on the remains of my enemies.

Pretty fun/funny! I think experimenting with how to vary up your textures would go a long way in helping your visual style breathe. Hope you had a blast!

Fun, easy to jump into. Maybe the next version could add a health meter or some feedback about the hits we're taking, or maybe a notion of points for hits.
Im glad you enjoyed the game! We definitely want to implement a feedback system for taking damage in future updates. We had a health bar system in the top left for the player but it experienced a bug before release. We though about putting in a red hit screen or creating a louder more distinct sound effect when the player is hit.

I liked the texture of the tank, and its destruction. There is a complaint except for the color scheme, it strains the eyes, as in the game and on the game page.

Very fun game! At first, it looked kinda buggy, but that wasn't at all the case! It was really satisfying killing the other tanks and driving around. The Boss was also fun too! I didn't quite understand what my health was and the pickups, but overall fun game! Great entry. :)

Yes there was a bug with the health display that we couldn’t address before submission, bug fix is still pending.
Gameplay works well, only problem I had was when I tried shooting down, the tank always blocked my aim ;P
The sound effects were brilliant when you kill a tank, I hope it's soundbites you made yourself !

The voice over was done by Brannick Ewing and then I incorporated his voice over into the game during the audio pass. He did fantastic!

Toy box feel is good, very nostalgic. The tank destroying effect is great! Enemy tanks flying through the air feels a little unfair; aiming down at targets is tough because player tank obscures vision. Main menu screen is a great addition. A fun time overall, great work!
We’re glad you liked it! We wanted each of our enemy tanks to have a gravity defying feature, hence the zero gravity on the green tanks. Thank you for the feedback, it is tough to avoid enemy fire on lvl one, the zero gravity tanks work much better on lvl two I think.
