This is just so good, from the idea to the art to the sounds, i love it a lot. The whole thing merges really well to create a coherent and interesting game. I foud it a bit easy to play through and a bit short with only two levels, but since it's a game jam it's pretty normal lol.

Interesting approach to the theme, and doing a PICO8 game is surely a brave move.
The graphics are very well-made, and I like the presentation of the game, from the menu to the win screen.
The only "mistake" I've seen is the timer before the next crime, because it says "*time* seconds till next crime" but the time is not in second for some reason.
Probably one of the most polished games on this gamejam.

Love me some pico 8 games, the art was really good! And the idea of the theme reminds me a whole lot of waldo, the second level by far is the hardest but it was fun learning it ~inside out~

This was a solid pico experience! The chiptune worked well for the gameplay. The gameplay was pretty straightforward. The art was my favorite part!

First ever pico8 game I've played and it looks like a good one! Really good pixel art albeit it adds to the difficulty of recognizing the cats. Level 1 is a good introduction to the real game (Level 2) which I sadly failed because I'm ust so tired after this jam.
Definitely one of the nicer entries from the jam.

Art, visual and music is good, but theme....
thx! I interpreted the theme as the English idiom "inside out," which means thoroughly. You have to learn the ins and outs of the crime scene in order to discover the criminal. (so it's purely figurative, but idioms are different in each language so it might be confusing :| )
I LOVE PICO-8 GAMES!! Fun game, however i didn’t get how the theme integrates here… The music could be improved but overall it’s a charming little detective game :D
overall: 8/10 (you get 1 bonus point (7/10 originally) for using pico-8)
thanks! you have to learn the layout of the cats "inside out" (aka thoroughly) in order spot the cat that's moving. i guess a lot of people interpreted it as literally inside out, but I was just basing mine off the English idiom.

This game has great pixel art, and an unnerving atmosphere. It was actually more than I thought it would be to memorize the placements of the cats because their little animations are so full of charm. I also think the interpretation of the theme is super unique.

This game is so cool! The charming art and retro sfx immediately immersed me. My only complaint is that the game isn't longer, but I definitely respect the incredible polish :). Good job!

cat game!! but cat dies :'( music and art were amazing, added to the liveliness and the urgency of the game very well. the scene transition sound was very yummy. i liked that hovering over a cat made this yellow outline as if you are shining a flashlight on them doing detective work. the thematic idea was very clever and executed upon quite well. however, i could see the goal of memorizing the crime scene inside out becoming tiresome if larger and more complex levels are introduced. overall very fun time
