A very good prototype that can be turned into a big release. The only thing that made me uncomfortable is that the colors are too saturated.

Very well done! Congratulations!

This is one of the best games I ever played

I really like the concept

And the puzzles were not too hard and not too easy(Best for a game jam)

Well done!!

I love programming games and this one was a really good one. I thought the idea of using buttons to both trigger actions in the world and also tell the robot when to act was very clever and opened up a lot of doors.

The experience did seem to be a little buggy. There were times when the robot wouldn’t wait for a button at all but would act immediately. It seems like I could fix that by pressing the button again. I also hit one state where both the robot and human were stuck in a falling animation which I couldn’t get out of until I reloaded the page. Level 4 for whatever reason seemed to give me the most trouble.

Ignoring that, I enjoyed the story and sprite art and the sounds were satisfying. The puzzle designs in general were very good and I had a lot of fun programming the robot. As one more small bit of feedback though it might be nice to have control over removing or moving individual commands rather than needing to restart the process entirely.

Altogether a great game. Thanks for sharing. My game is linked below if you want to check it out.

Nice twist on the classical "you control two players"! The puzzles were challenging, the controls are intuitive and the little cutscene at the beginning is a nice touch. The graphic and audio ambiance is really good... Honestly a solid game, congratulations!

Very fun and unique game, cool idea

Incredible game, very unique and fun to play! I experienced a strange but where the Codepanion would constantly move to the left in the last level, which meant I had to restart the game! But apart from that it is very well made!

Dude I just developed a game no I have to code to play one?

Cool idea!

this game is one of the most underrated games. the levels are nicely designed. need some try and error to complete each level.

did you make the music? that was very well done. love it so much.

Awesome entry ! Always wondered what a programing game would be like, and the execution is really well done

Ok, there's no doubt you've done an excellent job with this game. The game is really incredible, but I just wanted to point out some things for you to keep polishing the game: I really missed an "erase last command" button, since sometimes I missclicked and had to re-do all the program on the console. Also sometimes the codepanion woldn't respect some "wair for" command. But you shouldn't be bothered at all, the game is really really good. Excellent work.

One of my favorite submissions so far. Love the two characters working together and the coding mechanic (even if I am not very good at it...).

I think it is really amazing that you created a puzzle game with 5 levels in one week! :)

great game!

Well done! I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the game, the sound design fits the game really well! Hope to see more levels in the future and some improvements to the code editor! :D

Developer

Thanks! There is still a lot of room for expanding the game. Let's see if we end up doing it :)

Nifty little puzzle game with great puzzle design. Only complaint is a little useability issues (cant erase single lines), but not to be expected during a game jam. Great job

Developer

I dunno. I feel like it needed water and cute rectangles that swaps shapes ;) But yeah quality of life updates on the coding console should have maybe been a higher priority.

Incredible game! The core mechanic is inspired and makes for genuinely engaging puzzles, I can easily see this as a full game. Also did you make the music yourself? 'cause it's fantastic.

Developer (1 edit)

Appreciate that! Making levels for this game was maybe even more fun than playing them. Yes, music was created specifically for this game. I like making it myself so I can make multiple sounds that merge nicely with it, such as the goal jingle and end screen music.

That's brilliant. I've been playing and rating games all day, and this is easily my favorite submission so far. Very well done.

Enjoyed solving these puzzles ! Kinda remind me of the good high school contest in programming, I'm fund of this mechanic ! The only room of improvement for me would be to be able to edit the codelines without having to clear everything each time (kinda become a mess on the last level).

 Great Job !

Yeah a drag and drop system would have been awesome! But... Time...  (˵ ͠ಥ‿ ͠ಥ˵)
