In what way does your game fit the theme?
To find out how a murder unraveled, you "rewind" each of the characters' backstories.

The code was written by us. All assets except for the font and one sound effect were made from scratch.

I love games like that. Impressive the storytelling.

 Nice job !

Wow, I'm amazed you managed to make this in a week. The story hooked me right from the beginning and music was really nice! The writing was also pretty good (with very few exceptions). The only real problem for me is that I don't really think the game is connected to the theme. I get that the story revolves around the characters' flashbacks (which are done very well btw), though imho this fits the theme very loosely.

Overall, great job, really enjoyed playing it!

I'm not much of a narrative oriented gamer, but I really liked this game regardless. The story is really interesting, the game looks great and especially the music sets the tone really well.

I'd really appreciate it if you would have a look at my game as well, and be sure to download the smaller version :D

My God!!! The sound design of this game!!! *It's perfect*

Ok, the only complaint that i have is that the story isn't engaging enough at the start, so some players miss the starting details, and, even for a story based game, that story is a little bit heavy.

20XX - Found Luga

20XY - Found the right murderer

I can't believe your game has only 20 votes O_O

Great story! If you touch up the graphics you can definitely continue with the development! Wow!

By far the best game I've played this jam! Love the graphics and narrative and it really felt like each character was a different person. Very nice!

Hi! I'd love to play your game, but unfortunately I only use a Mac and it looks like your game is only playable on Windows. Is there some other way to try it out?

Submitted (1 edit)

Thanks Jelindo! I could try make a Mac build but it will have never been tested out. I also will try webgl. Let me see what I can do. Thanks for the interest. I will let you know.

The story was amazing. I liked the characters and think you can do much more using this storyline, by implementing some more gameplay elements! In general, the story was exciting but maybe some dialogue options would help the game to be a bit more interesting

The art and music were incredible, i personally am not the biggest fan of reading but the game was fun anyway

It was an amazing game. The story was really cool, I liked how each character had a different "voice" and song when they spoke. I also wanted to see what happened if I fell off but looks like you thought of that haha. Definitely one of my favorites.

WOW, thank you so much!!

Love the atmosphere of the game, the art & the music! You've made something quite unique, keep it up! :)

For me the dialogues were a bit too long, voice acting might have been better to stay immersed in the world as it's based on a stroy. I really liked the text writing sounds though!

I'd appreciate if you play and rate our game too

Hi, thanks for your feedback! We were actually considering voice acting, but unfortunately we didn't have enough time to include it.

If the dialogue length is a turn-off for you, there's actually a secret key (backslash) that can skip through all dialogue as quickly as you want! (The reason it's secret is because we didn't want players ignoring/missing important dialogue.)

Unfortunately I can't play your game on Mac since it uses a .exe file :(

First off, the story is great. The graphics style is quite unique and I love the exploratory atmosphere. Keep it up!

The best game in this jam using mystery to the storytelling! I loved how you sustain the expectation and used flashbacks. The graphs and the shadows gave the perfect ambience! Congrats!

I had to check out the other "Mars" entry.  You definitely took a very different path from mine. Nice story with some good twists and turns.

*loved* this game. The characters had so much charm. From the way you used signs, icons, and even the "voices", the characters felt fleshed out and provided real motives for the accident. Also, the music! The fact there was a song for each character and all flattered eachother, just awesome.

This was really nice - the various flash backs hung together well and the level looked great and was easy to navigate. Great submission!
