Art style and music was pretty neat! Story was interesting; however, I it's a little short and the graphics had a very out of place compression that messed up the composition a bit for me.

Short but very cool. I loved the art and graphics, and while the fighting mechanics weren't anything crazy, I really liked the design of the battle scene. Great work. Congrats and good luck!

Very interesting story and good writing overall. The art looks nice, though some scaled / blurry sprites are a bit out of place.

Also the game is very short, there is this one battle and then the end afterwards, was a bit confused why there is this hotspring and stuff like that?

Developer( 1)

thanks for playing! There was some issues with compression and scaling on the programming side, and we ran out of time to fully incorporate the hot spring and more battles :(

What a brilliant game! The mechanics, design, and creativity are all on point, making it an absolute joy to play. You’ve created something that really stands out—well done!

great art style! cute game. At first I had some hard time fighting, but after a few tries I managed to win

This game is so cute, the art just gives life to it, and the story is also very deep even though it is very short.
Congrats for your game!

The artwork is soo cute! I loved the vibe with the music and art together. The story is interesting too. Super job! Keep it up!

Really nice game, Beautiful art! One thing that would've been nice is the ability to move during the bullet hell segments in battle, would have added some more interest to fighting.

Had fun with this one!

1. A gamejam with a full story that in only 5 minutes conveyed a sense of mystery, friendship, calm, anxiety. Everything in a short compact amount of time was really nice

2. Do I need to mention the art? Its suburb. My favorite sprite is the Player Character in the starting battle screen, mouth clenching determination! There was even additional characters.

3. The world both in ruin and in peace, was a nice touch and used the theme well

4. Some of the movement was a little janky and sometimes I got repeat dialogue and had some issues with the amulet and the outside of the tower

5. The undertale like fighting was fun, I'd like to see it fleshed out for sure. The jumping was tough but I got it eventually

6. There's music in the game that's both calming and rocking, loved both, great music, really bopping on all fronts

Keep jamming, would love to continue to see this art, storytelling fleshed out battle mechanics for this in the future

First, aesthetically, the game is really good. It has a charming hand-drawn feel, and the SFX and music are nice—nothing much to say other than it's well done. However, when it comes to gameplay, I’m a bit frustrated because this game could be much better than it is now. It has amazing potential.

I like how you implemented the enemy encounter system; at first, I thought it was going to be turn-based, but then it shifted to a side-scroller, which reminded me a bit of Undertale. The dodge mechanic is a great idea, but I didn’t like that I couldn’t move left or right. It didn’t feel good, and sometimes, no matter what I did, I still got hit. This might be due to projectiles having random creation times or something similar, which made it frustrating.

Now, when I said this game has great potential, I meant you could have made each enemy encounter unique. For example, the first could involve dodging bullets, the second could be bullet-hell style, and the next could involve platforming. I’m not sure why you only included one type of encounter—maybe due to time constraints or focusing on other aspects—but overall, it’s a great entry. I hope you all continue making amazing stuff like this!

Developer

thanks so much for your feedback! Yes due to time constraints we couldn’t fully flesh out the battling, it was supposed to be the enemy sends out different types of projectiles and you jump over them (it is currently too hard lol, is based on the internet browser dino game when you have no internet) then it’s your turn and you try to jump into status buffs and spells that determine how you attack. There was also supposed to be more than one enemy, but ran out of time! We were inspired by undertale! We will def be updating to include more and fix the projectiles, I hope you can wait for it!

Instantly recognized the battle theme ref :). The art was really cute! And I liked the narrative of the player getting sent to the past to prevent a future disaster.

This game leaves me wishing for it to get expanded on/more fleshed out Great work!

Developer

thanks so much for playing! There’s a lot of the story that got cut and hope you look forward to the future updates coming soon!

Cute art style for a game! Loved the pokemon battle reference. Intriguing plot with a lot of good storytelling beats. Nice game overall, fantastic work!

Really cute art style, wasn't sure how to battle but maybe it's a skill issue lol

Developer

thanks for playing! It’s currently not filled fleshed out but for now timing the jumps and. Not getting hit a lot is the key! Lol

"Press E to kill the Old man", quite the memorable moment... I sent him into the ether 🤣
I love the art style! It's so polished. I ended up wandering around the place not knowing what to do or where to go, but eventually got to the boss. Which I don't know if there's an option to duck, or just tank the shots from the boss.

Overall, it works well. Hope to see this gets featured!

I enjoyed the art style! I wanted to be able to talk to folks more, and a little explanation of the combat up front would have been nice; good work, though!
