Sadly, the fate of a duck crossing the street is to die. But, by controlling time, the player can help the duck escape this fate!

What a creative idea for a game! Very cool, I've never seen a game quite like that before. Great use of the time control theme. Some easier levels to start up with would have been nice. I felt like I never really got a chance to get a feel for the intensity of the meter and how to control it well.
Cool idea but it would be nice to have faster or instant reload times (like games such as Super Meat Boy)
I've implemented a faster restart time, but I can't upload it before the voting period ends. But it's ready :)
Thanks for the comment and for playing!
Simple but fun mechanic. I like the silly extremeness of the duck's death scene :D I enjoyed the game.
Felt like the death scene needed to be enjoyable, since people will see it often ;)
Thanks for playing!!!
I like the approach you took with the time mechanic. It's a cute and simple idea that works wonderfully. The gameplay is pretty fun and the art is really cute, and overall it's a really nice casual game.
I would definitely decrease the time between restarts, it feels like it's three seconds too long. I would also highly consider making levels without random elements. If you can set what cars come at what time, it would let you build more complex and creative levels without having to deal with the randomness. Finally, I would have preferred to see arrow markings on the road that showed which way the cars were moving. When I stop time, it's easy to forget the direction of the traffic, which is fatal when the duck is walking right next to a vehicle.
Great job on the game. I managed to beat all the levels.
Thanks for the comment and feedback!
I'm working on fixing some of the issue you mentioned, and I'm planning on have "fixed" level once I change the level editor and can build them faster. More stuff to add to the pipeline :P
Thanks again for playing!
I love it!!! Seriously, very nice approach of the theme, very nice idea and development, the music and artwork is great.
I agree with MiguelSeabra about the start time be a bit longer, and sometimes i couldnt control the speed fader so well, idk how to explain, but nothing that stoped me to play till the end.
Great game, very nice job!
I have some plan to change the way the slider works, making it more friendly for mobile. I will need to do a lot of user testing, so I might let you know once that's uploaded ;)
Thanks for playing! :D
Didn't know quicksilver had a pet duck! xD Very creative cool game.
It's a Tenet Duck!!!
Thanks for playing man!
What a cool idea! I love reimagining of older titles like this.
This seems like a concept that could easily be polished into a successful mobile game! Have you considered it?
There are a few suggestions I'd like to propose:
I agree with the comments about the restart feeling too long, specially when there is a bit of luck in the road layout at the start, if this took half a second, maybe the feeling of unfairness when getting a bad road would be minimized.
I would also consider roads without random elements, I think being able to retry the same road could allow you to pump the difficulty even higher.
This is a minor gripe but, I feel like the walk time between the start of the level and the duck getting to the road could be bigger, sometimes I felt like I died before even having the time to mentally process all the obstacles I would need to take into account. Another solution to this could be the duck starting still and only begin to walk after a button press.
That being said, these issues did not spoil my enjoyment and I think this has a lot of potential as a full release.
Cheers
Thank you SO much for the constructive comment!
I've noticed when I sent some gif and screenshots to some friends that the format was almost perfect for mobile. I'm toying with the idea right now, but I've never really coded something that would actually be "released". Could be a good challenge.
As for the suggestions you mentioned, I'm already working on them and I plan on releasing a more polished version as soon as the voting period ends. That would include shorter level setup after first death, click request to restart or go to next level, pause option, static duck at the beginning of a level and more and more...
Again, thank you so much for the comment and I'm really happy you enjoyed your play :)
This is a challenging but really fun game. I love the idea and I had a great time playing this game!
Thanks! I'm glad you had a fun time playing it! I had a fun time making it ;)
This is hard !!! But this is good :p
You might get lucky and get a clear road if you restart enough :P
Thanks for playing!
"Simple, Fun and Difficult"
the type of game I like!
Thanks! I'm glad you got addicted ;)

One of my favourite games from the jam! Such a fun and addictive concept and executed really well :)
Thanks for the comment! This means a lot to me :)
I beat the game, really fun and creative! I feel bad for not being able to save so many ducks :(
I have to say that it was easy at the beginning as there were two levels where I didn't even have to move anything since the game randomly gave me an opening, haha. It would be nice if the animations between deaths were shorter as well.
Good job though!!
I'll keep your suggestion for the level restart in mind, I've had a certain number of comments that went in the same direction.
Thank you for playing and for the comment :)
Couldn't make it further Road #8 even with almost 30 tries, haha
But that was really fun! You got me because it is a game about ducks :D
Nooooo! That's was the last level! You almost made it to the end!
I'm glad you liked it! If you like duck, you should make sur you click on the duck ;)
OMG! You got me curious.. I'll try clicking the duck, then ;D
Did you click on it? :P
Ofcourse I did! One of the most important feature, haha :D
Cool concept, fun, and polished game! Congratulations!
I'm glad you liked it :D
Even tho I think it still requires a ton of work, I makes me happy you think it's polished!
Thanks for playing!
Very good concept! Kinda frogger Souls-like, with some procedural, that include a time mechanic in a clever way! I completed all the level, but I had to really try and develop some technique to achieve it! Also like the pixel art. Nice game, congratz!
Frog meets Dark Soul :O that's an interesting concept :P
Thanks for playing and for the comment!
When I first started the game I thought, oh this is easy. NO it isn't, it gets hard fast.
I think there is some luck involved in getting a good random start, but even then the later levels require more patience than I have, hahaha.
Overall it was quite fun, has cute art, and definitely a cool idea.
I've notice that randomness can be a big factor, making some level easy and some other almost impossible, but I felt like it added a little something (call it player fate maybe? :P)
Thanks for playing and for the review!
