📢 🆕 We are thrilled to announce that on August 5th we broke ground on our first manufacturing plant in Trotwood, Ohio, for the manufacture of medium voltage transformers and energy solutions. 📍 The groundbreaking ceremony marked the beginning of a significant development project and was attended by key local government figures and community members who showed strong support for the project and highlighted the expected positive impact of the new facility on the city's economy, particularly regarding job creation and overall economic growth. Production will begin in July 2025 and it is expected to reach a production output of 12 GW per year starting from 2027. ➡ “We selected Ohio, and Dayton in particular, as the best area for us based on the type of skilled workers, and a type of location that is similar to our origin,” said Alberto Cracco, CEO of Westrafo "We are here today because we want to grow more in the United States. The United States is suffering a lot because of a shortage of transformers.” 🌎 This project is part of Westrafo's expansion strategy in the North American market. Last July, we established Westrafo America and launched a customer care branch for local support. With over 7 GW of installed capacity in the U.S. since 2019, we are committed to strengthening our presence and supporting the country’s energy infrastructure needs. We had the pleasure of hosting at our headquarters LG Energy Solution Vertech, Inc. for a two-day intensive training session on "Operation & Maintenance for FR3 immersed hermetic type transformer." ➡ During these two days, participants deepened their understanding of our transformers, covering topics such as maintenance, warranty claims, commissioning, tests and more. A new vehicle has joined the Westrafo company fleet. In order to ensure better logistics management and supply chain efficiency, a new generation truck has been purchased for the agile movement of goods between plants in the Triveneto area, optimizing routes and thus reducing CO2. A new strength for Westrafo, which will allow us greater flexibility with a focus on the environment.   #logistics #supplychain #westrafotruck

📢 ✨ We are very excited to announce the future opening of the new North American production facility in Trotwood, Ohio, to serve the US market. 📍 With an extension of 231.000 sqft the new site is going to be built according the latest construction technologies with the aim to become a point of reference for manufacturing in the USA market. 👉 The production is expected to start in July 2025 reaching an annual production output of 12 GW per year starting from 2027, while the recruitment process will begin by the end of 2024. The new site joins the existing plants in Italy (Vicenza) and Ghana (Tema) and will produce medium and high-voltage transformers and energy solutions systems, which are focused on renewable energy growth.   “Building on the principles that have guided our growth, such as innovation, sustainability, and strong customer focus, we believe it is crucial to invest in the country that is focusing more than any other on the development of an efficient and sustainable grid” said Westrafo CEO Alberto Cracco.   🌎 This expansion marks a significant milestone in our commitment to providing cutting-edge energy solutions and further solidifies our presence in the global market.
