Which video games have we translated?? Scroll through our portfolio to read about some of our projects! Manor Cafe is a mobile game combining match-3 puzzles and a renovation game. One of its top fans is Livia’s mum – she’s currently on level 11724! 💡What are the challenges with this type of game? The game features an infinite number of areas, furniture and decor items, so we needed plenty of imagination to ensure our translations were inventive enough to do justice to the areas for renovation. Although the game dynamics are straightforward, they should not be underestimated – the risk of ambiguity is always around the corner! The dialogue is another challenge, packed with plays on words, jokes and cultural references. It was vital that nothing slipped through the net! 🗨 Our reviewer’s input Learn all about the work that went into localising a mobile game like Manor Cafe in this article written by Alice:

Which video games have we translated?? Scroll through our portfolio to read about some of our projects! Garden in! offers a calm, chilled-out experience where players can grow their own plants. We immediately fell in love 💕 with this cosy indie video game, developed by Italian studio Dramatic Iceberg. We worked with the developers to provide localisation into several languages, including Spanish, French, German and Chinese, calling on our network of trusted freelancers. 💡What are the challenges with this type of game? With this sort of project, our role is to guide the developer and help them to navigate the world of localisation, which is unlikely to be a familiar one. We aim to be a solid support they can rely on, guaranteeing excellent localisation and on-time delivery so their product can reach new markets. 🗨 Our PM's input “It’s been great to work on this project from start to finish, helping the young developers from Dramatic Iceberg to localise their adorable game into different languages.”

Which video games have we translated?? Scroll through our portfolio to read about some of our projects! Manor Lords is a medieval strategy game with detailed city building, large-scale tactical warfare and complex economic and social simulations. We worked with ECI Games (Character) on the release of this game, providing translation, revision and LQA services from English into Italian. 💡What are the challenges with this type of game? Manor Lords is a strategy game with a keen eye for historical accuracy, which had to be reflected in our localisation. For example, during our work we encountered the term "burgage", which does not have a direct historical and social equivalent in Italian. It is, in fact, a specific type of land tenure that was prevalent in medieval towns and cities in England. Consequently, the decision was made to use the English term in the localised game. 🗨 Our LQA specialist Marina’s input “I had a lot of fun gathering resources, fighting back against invading forces and constructing new buildings to ensure our work was faultless!”

We finally added the portfolio section to our website 🥹! In this dazzling new webpage we gathered some of the games we localized since we started in 2016. Each game has a story and has been very important for at least one person of our team 🧡 In the next few weeks we will tell you the story of a few of them more in detail, why we loved them, and the challenges we had to overcome during the localization process 🤭 Comment below and let us know if you like it or maybe if you have worked on one of these games for other language pairs!
