On September 17-22 we’ll be at the 2024 IAA TRANSPORTATION expo in Hannover, Germany. The event is the leading platform for logistics, commercial vehicles, and the transport sector. As one of the most important happenings in Europe for this specific branch of the automotive industry, we chose it to showcase, together with Weifu, our original equipment and most recent innovations. #VHIT #mechatronics

It’s a fact: research and innovation requires a lot of experimenting and testing. Putting our products and prototypes to work in the most extreme conditions can make us learn a lot about them very quickly, fueling our creativity. This is why using an advanced equipment able to simulate all the possible conditions of use of a product is the best and most effective way to explore new solutions to improve its performance and reliability. Our R&D department can test products in a very broad range of atmospheric conditions, with test benches able to go from really high to really low temperatures, and to replicate every kind of mechanical stress that our pumps will undergo once used on the actual vehicles they’ve been designed for. #VHIT #mechatronics

VHIT will take part in this year’s edition of Formula SAE Italy, a student design competition which involves the departments of engineering of the Universities worldwide organized by SAE International. An occasion for us to support the new generation of engineers and foster new talents in the automotive industry. Formula SAE Italy 2024 will take place at the "Riccardo Paletti" Circuit in Varano de' Melegari (PR) on September 4-8. #VHIT #mechatronics

Power saving is a crucial matter in today’s automotive industry, something that all the players involved in the production chain of a hybrid or full-electric vehicle are focused on in order to find new and improved solutions. An electrical oil pump which is efficient on energy consumption, while also providing a better lubrication for the axle shaft, can be a great resource to achieve the best possible results in saving power and enhance the performance and operating time of batteries and power trains. At VHIT we are constantly exploring new ways to help our customers build more efficient and reliable vehicles. The knowledge we acquired working side by side with important OEM has brought our electrical oil pump to reach remarkable outcomes in terms not only of consumption, but also in terms of size, noise reduction and connectivity. #VHIT #mechatronics #thermalmanagement

We recently had the pleasure to welcome to our facility in Offanengo a delegation from Wuxi Industrial Development Group Co., Ltd. led by Mr. Yao Zhiyong, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Board of Directors. The goal of this visit was to further strengthen communication and cooperation between us and the group, which is currently promoting its global strategy in the automotive parts business. An international strategy where VHIT is set to play a very important core role. The delegation had the opportunity to meet Giovanni Rossoni, Mayor of Offanengo, and to experience firsthand our highly digitalized and intelligent production environment, for which they expressed their sincere admiration. #VHIT #mechatronics

The ways in which the design process of a mechatronic product like the ELOP is developed are crucial in achieving the best possible results in terms of performance, reliability and energy consumption. A correct simulation approach enables to meet customer requirements. Using a digital twin of the prototype and the Simecenter Amesim software by Siemens, our R&D department is able to run really advanced and precise simulations that can improve the quality of the product even more. Further more, given that with these simulations it takes only 5 seconds to simulate 1.000 seconds of real time, they can save a lot of time and speed up the process, leading to additional cost savings. One of the reasons why we chose to embrace AI in our manufacturing activity is that it can lead to an almost flawless production. Nowadays, in this fast-paced world, the margin for error is really thin. That’s why we use an AI driven system, entirely developed by our IT department, to make detailed controls on specific parts assembled in our production plant. The online magazine Italia Meccatronica has published an interview with our CEO Corrado La Forgia, where he discusses the innovative journey of VHIT and the future of mechatronics in Italy. One of the key takeaways is well summed up in this answer: “Through research we can find out more. We want to keep the spotlight on the transformations of the industry, restoring the principles that underlie these innovations through a pragmatic approach and an accessible language from a peer-to-peer perspective. Together with Progetto Italia Meccatronica, our goal is to involve and make as many people as possible passionate about mechatronics, also by conveying the concept of ‘Invented in Italy’ which in some ways surpasses the ‘Made in Italy’”.
