A new lighting series presented during Milan Design Week 2024. The Floyds Lights collection, designed by Ugo Cacciatori, is a meeting point between the art of Murano blown glass and the unmistakable design sensibility of Henge. The new lighting series embodies the excellence of traditional craftsmanship and innovation in design. Each lamp, realised through the 'double expansion' technique, merges into metal structures that house the light sources. With models ranging from pendant lamps to floor lamps with stone and metal bases. The modular glass elements overlap to create different shapes and are an example of modular design that offers great scenic impact. Displayed in the renovated Henge showroom in Via della Spiga 34, the creations by Henge and Venini invite you on a sensory journey through the art of Italian design, promoting an experience that exalts beauty and excellent Italian craftsmanship. With immense enthusiasm, Venini announces its presence in "100 Vasi di Design Italiano" project, an exhibition that exalts the decorative art of vases in the history of 20th-century design. Twenty-five of Venini's most celebrated vases, a quarter of the total, have been selected to represent the #craftsmanship and elegance of Made in Italy in this prestigious collection curated by #Marco Meneguzzo and #Enrico Morteo, and promoted by the #MAECI in collaboration with Skira Arte   The project not only celebrates the historical and artistic importance of 20th century Italian vases, but also aims to consolidate the importance of #MadeinItaly on the international scene.   Selected works include, among others, design masterpieces signed by Vittorio Zecchin, Ettore Sottsass, Tobia and Carlo Scarpa, Napoleone Martinuzzi, Fulvio Bianconi and Paolo Venini as well as more recent innovations by contemporary #designers such as Alessandro Mendini and Fabio Novembre. These pieces, from Zecchin's "Libellula" to Fabio Novembre's "Happy Pills”, represent a bridge between tradition and innovation, showing how Murano glass has evolved while keeping its #artistic #heritage intact.   We are honored to be part of this narrative that crosses a century of artistic excellence and testifies to our commitment to carrying on the legacy of #Murano #glass.   Today, June 27, 2024 there will be the official presentation of this wonderful project, which will be held at the ADI Design Museum in Milan. This exhibition highlighted Africa's artistic and cultural heritage, attracting consuls and international diplomatic representatives. The corner dedicated to Venini was an admiring focal point, thanks to Murano glass sculptures signed by babled emmanuel, including Zufoli, Talea and Koori. These works reflect the fusion of tradition and modernity, highlighting our ongoing commitment to creating pieces that not only decorate but tell stories. Zufoli takes us into the world of birds bent on whistling, with shapes that evoke freedom and poetry. While Talea, a limited-edition vase, celebrates joy through delightful confection and vibrant colors. Koori, a vase series that explores the contrast between luminous transparency and matte finish, reminiscent of tribal masks. The opening event on June 7 was attended by more than 300 people including several consuls present in Milan, including Consul General of Uruguay Verónica Crego Porley, Consul General of Qatar Dr. Abdulla Al Zeyara, Dr. Adel Talbi Consul General of Algeria, and Alessandro Moretti, Honorary Consul of South Africa. Interpreting Africa's vast cultural heritage from a contemporary perspective, the exhibition was an opportunity to demonstrate how Murano glass can become a medium through which new forms, colors and textures can be explored.
