Sixteen #Fulbright Alums were selected as 2024 Guggenheim Fellows! 🌟 The Fulbrighters were among 188 distinguished “culture-creators” chosen by the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation through a rigorous application and peer review process which considers their previous work and immediate social impact. The fellowship allows recipients to pursue independent work in their academic and professional fields. Trading in my Dickinson College red for Syracuse University orange... I am excited to announce that I will be pursuing my Master of Arts in International Relations (MAIR) at Syracuse University - Maxwell School! The Maxwell School of Citizenship & Public Affairs perfectly represents my interest in public service and intercultural communication. I look forward to taking courses in European politics, U.S. national security policy, and humanitarian action. Thanks to my education at Dickinson College and my work through The U.S.-Italy Fulbright Commission, I feel prepared for an intensive graduate education and a career in international affairs. A special thanks to Rachel Jacobs, Nicoletta Marini-Maio, Kristine Mitchell, Jennifer Clough and Amity Fox for providing guidance during the graduate school application process and for encouraging me to do my best. While I am sad to leave Dickinson next month, I am grateful to all of my colleagues in admissions for their continued support and mentorship. 🔸 La Professoressa Francesca Pesciarelli, associata di Psicologia Generale presso il Dipartimento di Scienze, Biomediche, Metaboliche e Neuroscienze, e responsabile del Laboratorio di Psicologia ed Elettrofisiologia Cognitiva, è risultata vincitrice della prestigiosa borsa "Fulbright Research Scholar" e avrà l’opportunità di recarsi per 9 mesi negli Stati Uniti, presso la San Diego State University in California, dove, insieme al prof. Holcomb e alla prof.ssa Midgley del laboratorio NeuroCognition, condurrà un’importante ricerca sull’indagine dei correlati neurali degli stereotipi di genere nel linguaggio. I risultati di questa importante collaborazione potrebbero fornire spunti preziosi per approfondire le conoscenze sul cervello umano e contribuire allo sviluppo di interventi e strategie efficaci per ridurre gli stereotipi e, di conseguenza, le disparità di genere, promuovendo una società più inclusiva ed equa.

Tre anni fa accettavo l’incarico di referente per l’internazionalizzazione del Dipartimento di giurisprudenza della Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II. Molte sono state le iniziative che ho condiviso con colleghi e amici anche di altri dipartimenti. La promozione della didattica in lingua inglese. La negoziazione e la stipula degli accordi di cooperazione con la University of California, Berkeley, la Vrije Universiteit Brussel, con Villa Vigoni e con il Centro Studi Americani. Gli scambi di studenti, dottorandi e docenti con tali istituzioni e con la University of Denver. Ma ciò di cui vado più fiero è aver contributo alla costituzione della rete dei Fulbrighters Fredericiani (#FulFred), che ha permesso a molti nostri studenti e giovani studiosi di scoprire e di fruire delle straordinarie opportunità offerte da The Fulbright Program tramite The U.S.-Italy Fulbright Commission. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚 𝐉𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐢𝐭 𝐇𝐚𝐬 𝐁𝐞𝐞𝐧! 🇺🇸 I'm more than happy to share that I've officially graduated with honors with my Master's in Marketing from the University of Minnesota - Carlson School of Management! Beyond the invaluable experiences and knowledge, the best part has undoubtedly been the people. Meeting amazing classmates, world-class professors, and inspiring leaders has deeply enriched my personal and professional life. 👥 I want to thank everyone who has supported me along the way, especially Alfonso Gomez, Sarah Mirne Pecoroni, and Giuseppe Ioppolo whose initial support and confidence in my abilities have been crucial in achieving this milestone. Thank you also to The Fulbright Program and The U.S.-Italy Fulbright Commission for making this incredible opportunity possible.
