Our CEO Alessandro Puliti shared his insights discussing the pivotal role of offshore wind in the energy transition and the evolving landscape of the gas industry at Global Energy Transition Congress and Exhibition’s Strategic Conference, in the panel “Emboldening industries and accelerating the energy transition: Striking the right balance on the lower carbon future”. He highlighted Saipem’s experience in offshore wind, our technological developments and innovation in this field, and our leadership in all types of foundations. We completed eight offshore wind projects and are currently carrying out activities for the Courseulles-sur-Mer offshore wind farm in France. Also, our CEO underlined that gas is still the main fuel for the energy transition and that we are actively building LNG plants for our customers worldwide. About 150 new strategic vendors have been invited to a dedicated event where we introduced our Sustainable Supply Chain strategy related to Saipem’s Net Zero Plan, focusing on SupplHi #CarbonTracker, the platform we chose to enable our Scope 3 strategy. Carbon Tracker is an advanced industry platform that allows our vendors to obtain a reliable calculation of their Corporate GHG emissions free of charge. We welcomed the delegation of the Indonesian Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Arifin Tasrif, the Head of the Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities (SKK Migas) Dwi Soetjipto and Director of Upstream Oil and Gas (Migas) Ariana Soemanto at our Karimun Yard, the largest fabrication yard of the Saipem group and one of the largest in the Southeast Asian region.    During the visit, the delegation was accompanied by our Indonesia’s Managing Director, Pierangelo Abela and all the yard management and teams. The visit was an opportunity to highlight the yard's contribution to the local economy and its strategic role in sustaining the Indonesian Government’s target to achieve natural gas production of 12 billion standard cubic feet per day (BSCFD) by 2030. The Karimun yard covers an area of around 1,400,000 square meters, with more than 6,000 square meters of office space, 60,000 square meters of covered workshop and 4,000 employees, more than 90% of which are from Indonesia.    #Saipem #EngineeringForASustainableFuture #Indonesia #Offshore

We are bringing our experience and expertise in complex offshore oil & gas structures to service ocean-based aquaculture, a growing industry aiming to meet the increased demand for healthy and climate-friendly food resources.   Our subsidiary Moss Maritime is contributing to developing a new sustainable open ocean fish farming concept for Aqualoop. The team has been conducting engineering services from feasibility studies to the current design validation and model test campaign. 🏆 We are thrilled to announce that, in partnership with Equinor, our Hydrone-R underwater drone has been awarded the Underwater Technology Conference Award of 2024. After the 2021 Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) Spotlight on New Technology® award, the Hydrone-R achieves a second important recognition after setting a world record for operating continuously for 165 days at a depth of 330 meters in the Norwegian Sea. The Hydrone-R, part of our Subsea Robotics Innovation Program, performs construction works and advanced autonomous inspections on a wide range of subsea assets thanks to the proprietary AI features. It was selected by Equinor in October 2019 to be the first Underwater Intervention Drone commercially deployed in the Njord Field development, offshore Norway, understood to be the first ever worldwide service contract for subsea drones signed in the offshore energy industry. Yesterday at the Baku Energy Forum, our CEO Alessandro Puliti participated in the ‘Executive Talks: Energy Security 2.0’ panel.   He confirmed Saipem as a long-standing partner of Azerbaijan while highlighting our contributions to key projects like Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG), Shah Deniz and Absheron offshore oil and gas fields. He emphasized Azerbaijan's role in the energy transition and the significance of the country’s signing of the Global Methane Pledge, that represents a strong signal in preparation for the COP29 climate talks which will take place in Baku this year. 🌍 We mark World Environment Day and World Oceans Day highlighting our concrete actions to minimise environmental impacts and raise awareness among our stakeholders on the need to adopt virtuous behaviours by becoming an active part of #GenerationRestoration.   To illustrate:  🔸 In Saudi Arabia, the host country for the World Environment Day, we have recently performed revegetation and trees plantation initiatives in areas within and outside our construction sites providing value to the communities. In the Persian Gulf, we are installing 100 artificial reefs to protect the environment and promote marine biodiversity. 🔸 In Italy, we are participating in the Water Defenders Alliance promoted by LifeGate confirming a Seabin for the second year to reduce plastic pollution of seawaters at the Island of San Giorgio Maggiore in Venice. 🔸 Over the last year, we have integrated ecosystem restoration into our global sustainability strategy, supporting forest protection projects and local communities in developing countries.   Every little gesture counts, and we are determined to make a difference!   #Saipem #EngineeringForASustainableFuture #Sustainability #Environment #WorldEnvironmentDay #WorldOceansDay
