📊 Investing in 2024: new models for an evolving economic landscape 🚀 Traditional investment "clocks" have long relied on GDP and inflation to identify business cycle phases (slowdown, recession, recovery, boom). However, recent economic challenges have highlighted the need for new tools. 🧠 In response, we introduced the Prometeia Investment Cluster (PIC), an innovative indicator using machine learning to classify the economy into five distinct phases, rather than the traditional four. These are: 1) Asset Revaluation, 2) Trend Growth, 3)Contraction, 4) Late Cycle, 5)Recovery 🔍 The introduction of this new model has already shown its value: in 2023, PIC predicted the Eurozone's shift from a "Late Cycle" to a "Trend Growth" phase, leading to strong performances in equities and lower-quality corporate bonds. 🔮 Looking ahead, PIC points to a transition toward a hybrid state between Trend Growth and Recovery by the first quarter of 2025, signaling continued opportunities in equity markets, though at a more moderate pace. 📈 While tools like PIC provide valuable insights for navigating today’s complex economic environment, a diversified and flexible investment strategy remains essential. 🔗 Read more here: https://lnkd.in/dwWUsVxZ
