A play on lines and a game as inspiration: Giuseppe Maurizio Scutellà's Shanghai collection consists of support rods holding equally slender light fixtures, that can be adjusted 180°, from which light beams are emitted like an ideal extension of the rods. The light graphic sign of the Shanghai metal lamps, in three different heights, hints at compositions linked to a variety of different formats, recreating the overlapping sticks at the beginning of the famous game of pick-up sticks. Palazzo Venezia has recently reopened its doors. This historic building in the heart of Milan was erected at the end of the 19th century to a design by architect Luca Beltrami and was formerly the headquarters of Generali Assicurazioni. Redeveloped and converted, over part of its surface for hotel use, the new Gran Melià Palazzo Cordusio embodies the union of history and hospitality. A tangible tribute to the synergy between the preservation of collective memory, historical heritage and the eagerness to create new experiences shaped by contemporary trends. Studio Marco Piva undertook the Art Direction of the portions subject to constraints relating to monuments, the architecture of the interiors and terraces, and the creation of the inner courtyard. It is against this multifaceted, complex backdrop that the partnership with Platek was established. Night of light  Warsaw, Poland Last Thursday a special event was held in the beautiful and evocative showroom of Studio Podłóg Ablux.  A heartfelt thank you for the beautiful event organized with Koncept Zieleni, Studio Podłóg Ablux and Elit S.A. This event was precious for us as it allowed to bring together many different companies giving each of us the opportunity to share a piece of our reality.  The sharing of different visions is for Platek of fundamental growth as it allows us to enrich ourselves and to create new ideas and new reflections. A family of bollards and applique characterized by the balance between sculptural form and lighting technology. The collection is very wide, with different lighting options. Designed in 1926, the Marszalek Jozef Pilsudski Bridge is the oldest pedestrian, cycling and road bridge in Cracow. The lighting project created by QLAB Laboratory of Light aims to requalify and emphasise the metal structure through the use of compact and discreet lighting fixtures. The use of state of the art technology in terms of power supply and control that substitute the pervious ones allow to create and program different lighting scenarios depending on the needs.
