Our Group was founded in 1981 by Heiner Oberrauch to distribute clothing and other sports products in the Italian market. Today we are still a family business and our passionate team of more than 1.200 employees across 11 countries is engaged in building mountain sports brands with the highest quality standards. 𝗪𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗺𝗹𝘆 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗹𝗲𝗶𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲. Sustainability is a choice we invest in because we believe in it. We think about the world we're leaving behind for our grandchildren and their grandchildren. Our six own mountain brands SALEWA, DYNAFIT, POMOCA, WILD COUNTRY, EVOLV, and LAMUNT design, develop, and produce innovative products for ambitious mountaineers that are distributed in 65 countries worldwide. We apply our experience as a house of brands on behalf of other players in the sports industry. We distribute brands that we believe in such as UNDER ARMOUR, FISCHER, ONE / WAY, SMITH, BARTS, FALKE, BURLINGTON, and 2117 of SWEDEN. We are not just the wholesale partner for Under Armour in Italy; we're also the proud owner of the entire retail business, now running a total of 17 shops for the iconic American sports brand. These new openings reflect our commitment to providing top-notch sports apparel and equipment to our customers and our dedication to growing the Under Armour brand in Italy. With these additions, we continue to strengthen our partnership and showcase the innovative spirit that drives us both. This dedication is at the heart of everything we do, as we believe that our business is fundamentally about people.   Our products, with their numerous components and intricate designs, require specific expertise from various departments. This specialized focus is essential and allows our team members to thrive in their respective fields. However, it's crucial for us to ensure that every team member recognizes that the end goal revolves around our customers at the moment when they choose our brand over another. To guarantee this, several years ago we implemented the Oberalp Shop Experience program. Depending on their department, each employee spends a certain amount of time in one of our many stores to gain firsthand insight on the field.  How important do you think product immersion is for new hires?

    We are delighted to share with you that our Swiss quality brand, Pomoca, celebrated a special milestone. In a small gathering, together with representatives from local politics, architects, construction managers, the press, and our employees, our new headquarters was officially opened. The new building is home to the Pomoca brand, a leading manufacturer of ski touring skins that embodies Swiss Made quality, innovation, and reliability.     🎉✨ We celebrated a significant milestone at POMOCA with the inauguration of our new factory in Chavornay. A huge thank you to all our guests, including the architects, construction company, representatives from the municipality of Chavornay, and our President Heiner Oberrauch, for their presence and support. This new chapter marks the culmination of many weeks of hard work and dedication, during which our team superbly managed the challenge of moving our production from Denges to Chavornay in just 2.5 weeks. Thanks to this massive effort, we have not only enhanced our production capabilities but also strengthened our commitment to innovation and sustainability. The day began with a guided tour of our brand-new facilities, followed by inspiring speeches from key members of our leadership, and concluded with a cocktail reception where we celebrated this achievement together. 🥂 We look forward to continuing our mission of excellence and innovation in the ski mountaineering industry, with a better working environment for our employees and increased capacity to meet our customers’ expectations.

    𝗙𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿 – 𝗴𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 ⚖ We are proud to be a family-owned company prioritizing a family-friendly work environment and our employees' personal and professional development.   Knowing that walking the tightrope between career ambitions and family commitments is challenging, we took a significant step in 2011 by incorporating an on-site kindergarten at our Bolzano headquarters. Our Salewa-KiTa, in collaboration with the Sozialgenossenschaft Tagesmütter, can accommodate up to 15 children. These events occur in the showrooms of our subsidiaries and are designed for small groups consisting of our top partners and ambassadors for our mountain sports brands. We delve into topics relevant to the industry and also showcase our mountain sports brands' collections for the upcoming season. During the last fall, we talked about the "Forrester effect" and discussed the reasons behind high inventory levels in the outdoor market, while also developing joint strategies to reduce them. In spring 2024, are focusing on the world of BIG DATA. We strongly believe that BIG DATA has the potential to revolutionize our industry, and we have therefore committed to taking collective action. Introducing the Retail Academy, an innovative initiative launched in 2016 to bridge the gap between retail and our company's core ethos. Our retail training days offer technical expertise and cross-functional education, enabling our Oberalp retail team to provide the best service to our customers at any time. But it's not just about learning; it's about building a powerful team aligned with our values. That's why our sessions also include immersive team-building activities, fostering a sense of fellowship, dedicated to a common goal. This edition of the Retail Academy has been focusing on sustainability and introducing the innovative circular store concept of our mountain sports brand, Salewa, at our Bolzano headquarters. The days are filled with brand workshops, product deep dives, training on sales techniques, effective communication, and personnel management. The ultimate focus is not merely on selling products but rather on creating brand value through deep and long-lasting customer relations not to the stores but to the brands themselves.
