This increase poses 𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗸𝘀, including flooding and coastal erosion, which can greatly impact coastal communities. Increased coastal flooding can lead to population displacement, property damage and loss of essential services, as well as pose 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀 for 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗮𝗿𝗺 design and operation. Monitoring wave heights is essential to mitigate these risks.
