The #Ardennes are home to one of the most beautiful and exciting tracks of the world, a true University of motorsport: 7km length, through the forests of the Ardennes, with some legendary sections such as the Eau Rouge-Raidillon. The high lateral loads and medium to high abrasiveness will make life hard for the #tires, which will be forced into great stress this weekend, with the unknown weather hopefully offering fewer problems than in past years given the placement in the calendar at the end of July.

The development of physical #tire models is a well-established sophisticated task deeply making use of nonlinear mathematical formulations which have to account for the tire's composite #structure and the #interaction of multiple #physical variables. This work tackles the extension of the #multiphysical magic formula-based tire #model, already including #thermodynamic and #wear effects, by introducing a rigid ring body between the contact patch and the wheel hub.
