    60 years of Danish coffee love. That's Merrild, the iconic brand that has shaped the Danish coffee scene and has been part of our Group for nearly 10 years. It all began in the 1960s. Møller H. Merrild, questioning the existing coffee available in Denmark, decided to take matters into his own hands. He purchased a roaster and set it up in his Kolding grocery store, located in Southern Denmark. By 1964, his entrepreneurial spirit led him to open a the first Merrild Coffee Houses small roasting facility in Fredericia, where he started developing a range of blends with a consistent #coffee taste and quality throughout the year, despite of harvest. And he even crafted blends, that suited the different regions of Denmark. And one of them is still no. 1 in market today. Driven by passion, innovation, and an unwavering commitment to greate taste, Merrild rose to become the best-selling coffee brand in Denmark, joining our Group in 2015.     60 år og stadig danskernes favorit 🌟   I weekenden markerer vi en særlig milepæl for et ikonisk mærke, der stadig er det mest solgte kaffemærke i Danmark. For 60 år siden tog Møller H. Merrild hul på en rejse, der for alvor ændrede danskernes opfattelse af kaffe og har sat sit aftryk på det danske kaffemarked.   I 1964 inviterede vi for første gang danskerne indenfor til nye kaffeoplevelser i Merrilds kaffelagre. Her var det nemt at udvælge kaffe efter vægt og smag. Og som noget nyt havde Møller H. Merrild udviklet blends af forskellige bønner for at give danskerne samme gode kaffeoplevelse året rundt uanset høst ☕ .   #Merrild har nemlig altid taget højde for danskernes præferencer og behov. Faktisk udviklede Møller H. Merrild oprindelige de forskellige kaffe blends ud fra kalkindholdet i vandet rundt omkring i Danmark, så han kunne tilbyde samme gode smagsoplevelse til alle uanset vandets hårdhed. Og en af de oprindelige blends, den ikoniske røde #Merrild103, rammer fortsat plet, når danskerne skal vælge kaffe i 2024. Fra de servicemindede kaffe-piger, der skabte gode smagsoplevelser i Merrilds egne butik til nutidens reklamekampagner har #Merrild altid fundet innovative måder at forbinde sig med generationer af kaffeelskere. Fra tv-skærme til koncerter er vi blevet et fast holdepunkt i dansk kultur – og vi var endda med til at skabe TV historie med Merrild-postbuddet i Danmarks allerførste TV-reklame.   Vi ser frem til at fortsætte udviklingen af #Merrild som brand og produkt, især inden for hele bønner og kaffekapsler, som er i stærk vækst.     Brewing the Future of Culinary Arts ☕️ This summer, five Basque Culinary Center professors embarked on a unique journey to the Lavazza #TrainingCenter, immersing themselves in the world of coffee expertise. Their mission? To master the art and science of coffee through two Specialty Coffee Association intensive courses: "Introduction to Coffee" and "Barista Skills Intermediate”: - from bean to cup, they explored the intricacies of coffee production, but the learning extended beyond the classroom. A visit to the historic 1895 Factory and the Group's production site in Settimo Torinese provided a firsthand look at the crucial roasting process, completing their immersive coffee journey. This enriching experience will directly translate into specialized coffee education programs within the Gastronomía y Artes Culinarias degree. The goal?
