Czaneil Gomez's research, which earned her the 2024 GBEP Youth Award, explores the potential of rice straw biogas systems in the Philippines. Her findings show that utilizing rice straw for bioenergy production can reduce greenhouse gas emissions, provide sustainable energy and benefit local farmers.
