We are thrilled to announce that the architects behind our new Hydrogen Technology Center in South Tyrol, Italy, KUP-ARCH, have won an award for their outstanding interior design. 🎉 The existing commercial building was adapted to meet the needs of our company. It now includes three production halls, a modern office landscape with 65 workstations and a garage. The design, which follows the values of our company. Now it is an inspiring and welcoming place where we can grow together. Here, we can operate in different ways, from the classic ergonomic desk in a constellation of workplaces, creative spaces and a meeting room to the box for individual calls or intense concentration. The common areas called "crew spaces" are there not only to enjoy time with a coffee or cold drink but also to share ideas, create visions and make innovation happen. The Connecting Green Hydrogen Europe is in a full swing. This morning the Conference was kicked off with an interesting executive panel answering questions about the role of Hydrogen industry. The answer of GKN Hydrogen is very straight forward. GKN Hydrogen Networking Event with Excellent Companies in South Tyrol, Italy. We were pleased to host the members of Excellent Companies, a group of the south tyrolean industry leaders, at our facility in Pfalzen - Falzes, Northern Italy. The focus of the evening was on the future of hydrogen technology. Our CTO, Gottfried Rier, provided insights into our latest advancements in hydrogen storage, our AI-guided energy management and system monitoring and the development of our company and our team.  Discussions throughout the event centered on sustainable energy opportunities and integration strategies for various industries. GKN Hydrogen Meets with Italian Hydrogen Commission Palazzo Montecitorio We had a really inspiring day at the home of the Italian Parliament, Palazzo Montecitorio in Rome, where GKN Hydrogen's CTO, Gottfried Rier, along with Davide Berta and @Sean Berta, our representatives for Italy and North Africa, engaged with key Italian hydrogen advocates. We had the privilege to present our safe hydrogen storage solutions to an Italian Hydrogen Commission. Our discussions centered around current engineering projects led by our partners, Adriano Santeusanio, president of the fondazione Aqua and Andrea Rinaldi from AVL in Italy. The initiative was supported by the Department of Chemistry of Sapienza Università di Roma, @A.I.S.T.A. (Italian Association for Sport, Tourism and the Environment), EURISPES, Ecoitaliasolidale and Aqua Foundation. The representatives from the Hydrogen Valleys of Italy and the Esercito Italiano - Italian Army showed great interest in GKN Hydrogen's metal hydride storage technology, what led to a dynamic and productive exchange of ideas. In a notable closing speech, Prof. Francesco Campanella from the University of La Sapienza emphasized the significance of circular economies and the importance of decentralized energy supply solutions that are close to the consumer. He highlighted that the safe storage of green hydrogen in decentralized units will be a crucial component of future energy systems. dott. Damiano Landi, chairman of the event, expressed his satisfaction with the lively and insightful discussions among the experts and dott. Franco Torchia, president of the association A.I.S.T.A, who made this event and the special location happen. ACT Expo / ACT News  is a wrap. As we travel back and reflect, we see a lot of momentum for hydrogen in Heavy Duty Truck and Mass Transit transportation sector. 🔋🚛 Also, we do not see it as batteries vs. hydrogen in this sector, but how these technologies can support each other as clean energy sources to help the energy transition. Case in point, General Motors  is using its hydrogen fuel cell as a mobile fast charging solution for their EV's. Some insights from ACT Expo / ACT News Day 1: we cannot believe all the great conversations we have had on hydrogen. Key challenges people are looking to address: 👉 Mobile refueling solution to help transition adoption to hydrogen; 👉 Decarbonizing Port infrastructure; 👉 Offloading of delivered hydrogen – as often much of the hydrogen in a tube trailer is sent back.
