🤝 Generali, Munich Re and BNP Paribas Real Estate are pleased to support 𝗦𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗽𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆’s 13th edition at 1 Fen Court. This is an annual sculpture park that uses the urban realm as a rotating gallery space, animating the City of London with a free open-air art exhibition. The 13th Edition of Sculpture in the City is on display from 24 July 2024 – Spring 2025 and includes 17 artworks by 15 artists. 📍 As part of Sculpture in the City, the LED screen at 1 Fen Court showcases Seph Li’s digital artwork ‘𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲, 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿’.   Eternity and the feedback between nature and human interruptions are the two key aspects of the artwork. Digital artworks are well known for their capability of generating dynamic visuals, but at the same time lost the property of eternity often seen in traditional art forms. We’ve had the pleasure of hosting in the Generali Tower a session of the #realeconomy observatory organized by ANIA, focused on the value of #urbanregeneration. 🎤 After the introduction by Filippo Casagrande, Chief Investments Steering and Sustainability Officer at Generali Investments, our Gloria Brocchi - MRICS and Fabio Cristanziani, CFA presented Generali Real Estate’s #sustainability approach along the entire value chain, in the context of an ever-evolving regulation framework, and its focus on the portfolio #decarbonization path by 2050, the assessment of climate risks, and a virtuous collaboration with tenants and with local municipalities. 📌 This approach is embodied in #CityLife; roberto russo described the urban regeneration project which transformed an entire neighborhood in Milan in a #smartcity, and the first urban area in the world to achieve the ‘Platinum’ level in three international sustainability certifications. 💬💭 Thanks to ANIA for organizing this exchange opportunity; to all the contributors for their high-quality presentations around urban regeneration, and to Alessandra Pasquoni, MBA, CAIA for moderating the interesting discussion.

🇫🇷 Exciting news from Paris! 🏙 Arcom (L'Autorité de régulation de la communication audiovisuelle et numérique) has entered into a ‘green lease’ agreement, securing approximately 7,500 sqm of office spaces over four floors in our 𝗗𝗔𝗨𝗠'𝗡 building, located in 183 avenue Daumesnil, in the 12th arrondissement in Paris. 🎯 Arcom sought a more modern facility to better align with the economic and environmental objectives of the French State’s real estate policy, and the DAUM’N building was selected thanks to its outstanding sustainability certifications (#BREEAM, #WELL, NF HQE, #Wiredscore), strategic location, comprehensive service offerings (including numerous communal workspaces), and quality of office spaces and collaboration areas. The 6/9-years lease will commence in October. Special thanks to JLL France for advising Generali Real Estate and SEGAT for advising Arcom. 🤝 We look forward to welcoming Arcom to their new and sustainable headquarter!

Turning the page on a difficult year where the complexity and uncertainty of political and macroeconomic conditions have taken a toll on the real estate industry, 2024 has opened on a brighter note and continues with milder perspectives, which call for an even greater competence, discipline and focus. 💬 In his speech at the conference presenting the report, Nunzio Laurenziello discussed our views and experience as an international investment manager. 🌍 “A European dimension is crucial for real estate fund managers in order to grow organically on larger markets, gain flexibility in an ever-evolving scenario, and be able to capture a wider range of investment opportunities. Managing funds on a European scale requires a broader set of competences and a robust operational machine to cope with different regulatory requirements and meet the needs of international clients”, said Nunzio.

SGR (GRE SGR), the Group’s company focused on the management of real estate investment funds. Aldo Mazzocco, CEO of Generali Real Estate S.p.A., also takes up the position of Vice Chair of GRE SGR. Carlo Trabattoni will also assume the role of Chair of the Board of Directors of Generali Investments Luxembourg S.A, the product factory of Generali Investments Holding S.p.A. and then he maintains his position as a member of the Board of Directors of Plenisfer Investments S.p.A. SGR.

🎯 Decarbonizing and enhancing the #energyefficiency of existing buildings are paramount priorities for property managers: not only to achieve cost savings but, more importantly, to protect the #environment through careful resource use, enhance tenants' experience and #comfort, and preserve the value of the buildings. This can be particularly challenging for older tertiary-use buildings, which require specific competences and focused investments for #scalingup. 🏙 As a showcase, various automation and #energymanagement technologies have been successfully tested on buildings in Milan (via Turati 16, MAC 9), Assago (U15), and Casalecchio di Reno (via del Lavoro 47), resulting in significant #energysavings within a short timeframe and with limited investments. 💬 Thanks to Roberta Albini, Head of Sustainable Investing, Southern Europe Region, for discussing our approach through these case studies at the recent Smart Building Conference, organized by Soiel International, which explored different dimensions of connected and intelligent buildings. Key takeaways from our initiatives: ✅ The critical importance of establishing proper monitoring parameters ✅ The need to restore full functionality to existing control systems ✅ Customized solutions via Energy Management platforms connected to BMS and integrated with specific sensors have proven effective, achieving energy savings of 20-30% ✅ Successful pilot projects were marked by strong collaboration between Energy Managers and maintenance teams ✅ Flexibility and integrability with different BMS and IoT sensors are essential for scalable solutions. 🤝 Our experience shows that adaptable #automation solutions can meet diverse tenant needs and installation specifics, ensuring energy efficiency and driving the gradual adoption of additional smart building applications. #SmartBuilding #GRE4sustainability #GRE4ESG

🌍 We are glad to have joined the ULI Europe 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰, which gathered in Milan 800 land use professionals from 30 Countries. The event offered unique reflection, discussion and sharing opportunities for the international audience, ranging from the geopolitics’ impact on #realestate dynamics to #responsibleinvesting, including dedicated Product Council meetings and site tours. 🍃 As part of the rich event programme, we were particularly proud to have hosted the #Sustainability 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹, an opportunity to dive into a theme very close to our strategy and our business, as highlighted by our CEO Aldo Mazzocco in his welcome speech. 👀 Besides, it was a pleasure to organize a site tour which started in #CityLife with a walking visit to a real #smartcity, and continued with a ride on a historical tram through Milan and some of the prime buildings in our portfolio.
