It was 1962 when Giovanni Lucchese introduced the production of extruded klinker to Italy. In this year, Florim's roots with Floor Gres come to life in the production heart of the Sassuolo district. Immerse yourself in our history, and find out what is behind today's Florim: https://lnkd.in/dMqT3UY

Our work does not end with industrial dynamics, but goes beyond them by focusing on art and the beauty it conveys through workspaces. This is what we believe in and transmit through our premises. For example, our headquarters prominently features a striking bronze sculpture, "Il Cavallo" by Mimmo Paladino. Standing over 4 meters high, it reflects our deep connection to the local territory. On one side the augure, symbol of Modena, and on the other a reclining human head, to symbolise the value of work and the transformation of material that characterises our land and obviously reflects the work of our company. Today we talk with Anas El Mourid, one of the winners of the Lucchese 2024 Award. For more than 37 years we have been awarding students from the "Alessandro Volta" Technical High School in Sassuolo who graduate with honors, believing deeply that young people are the future. We asked them two important questions: - Where do you envision yourself in 10 years? - What do you think about Artificial Intelligence? Another interview highlights the importance of listening to the opinions and thoughts of future generations. We thank everyone who shared their vision with us.

Decarbonization: a constant objective. A commitment that the company has been pursuing for years, formalized in a constant focus on the environmental impact of every single aspect of production and beyond. It also takes the form of interesting initiatives such as NetZero and E-mobility. The results are certainly encouraging. In 12 years, the company has avoided the emission of 152,8451 t of CO2 (of which 23.45 t in 2023), equivalent to the CO2 absorbed by around 89,6452 trees. Today we talk with Matteo Fabbretti, one of the winners of the Lucchese 2024 Award. It is always fascinating to hear their opinions, and we are honored to hear and share them.

Within CEDIT's portfolio, one creation has left an indelible mark. Compatta by Federico Peri has received the Good Design Award in the “floor & wall covering” category as the only ceramic product from the Italian production scene. A collection that proposes a dialogue between the archaic and the ultra-contemporary. The effect of compact raw earth and the ancient construction technique of pisé are the stars of this creation, now the protagonist of this award. A concentration of technology, automation and innovation. This is how to summarize our Industry 4.0 factories in Fiorano Modenese and Mordano. Production plants where advanced technologies communicate with each other. An almost sci-fi environment in which Florim porcelain tiles (in particular large slabs) come to life. It is in fact a sophisticated software that automatically controls and manages the plants, anthropomorphic robots and LGVs (Laser Guided Vehicles). Two technological hubs linked together for complete traceability, from raw material to packaging. A high level of innovation with a constant focus on environmental impact There is still much to tell. Coordination of elements. What immediately stands out in this project is the meticulous skill and research with which each element is matched to the others, all aimed at a single goal: conveying a sense of modern luxury while respecting the surrounding history. To achieve this, the choice fell on one of our collections, I Filati, created in collaboration with Rubelli S.p.A.
